The latest trailer for Warner Bros.' highly-anticipated Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has been dropped, highlighting the prequel’s suspense-filled action sequences. The film explores the origins of Imperator Furiosa, who was first introduced in 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road.

Shared on X, the Furiosa video continues to hype up the feud between Anya Taylor-Joy’s titular warrior and Chris Hemsworth’s villainous character Dementus, as they go all out in an epic battle for the wasteland. In the upcoming movie, Furiosa will seek her revenge against Dementus for everything he took away from her since she was a child. This marks Taylor-Joy’s second high-profile project this year, following her brief appearance in Denis Villeneuve’s blockbuster sequel Dune: Part Two.

Playing Furiosa took such a toll on Anya Taylor-Joy that she couldn’t even bear to watch her scenes in the film's rough cut.

According to Hemsworth, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will feature one of the craziest stunt sequences he has ever done, which involves a chariot bike and monster truck. "The chariot bike is the wildest piece of machinery I’ve ever driven, and I loved every second of it," Hemsworth shared. "I mean, hanging off a crane at one point and being loaded onto a monster truck, and then on the monster truck someone unclips me off a harness and the truck spins away into a burnout. How this world comes from one of the kindest individuals, I’ll never know…"

What to Expect from Furiosa?

The Mad Max prequel is once again written and directed by George Miller, who originally intended to shoot Furiosa back-to-back with Fury Road in 2010. In addition to Taylor-Joy and Hemsworth, the ensemble cast also includes Tom Burke as Jack, Alyla Browne as young Furiosa, Nathan Jones as Rictus, Angus Sampson as the Organic Mechanic, Daniel Webber as War Boy, Charlee Fraser as Mary Jo Bassa and Lachy Hulme as Immortan Joe. The latter was initially played by the late Hugh Keays-Byrne in the Tom Hardy-led movie. Miller recently confirmed that franchise lead Max Rockatansky and his Interceptor car will have a "blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo" in the upcoming film.
