Youd think that if theyre truly going back to original footage for the show, theyd find a lot of deleted material. I have many of the scripts for the show and there were many cases of scenes that didnt make it to the final broadcast.

It would be a shame if WAC doesn't include a commentary track (even if only on an episode or two) with John Wesley Shipp. He's still very active in the DC fandom and, of course, also played several versions of the Flash on the recent CW series.

they are very good about including existing features from older dvds and laserdisc. As far as new stuff, that happens occasionally but is very rare.
They did new extras for Curse of Frankenstein and probably a couple others im blanking on. |

I relistened to the podcast commentary for Trial of the Trickster with Bilson and DeMeo and they said all of their opticals were done on film and the streaks were done digitally. All they gotta do is just scan the film and recreate the streaks to keep everything in HD. Should be a very simple visual effect to recreate for this remaster. Hopefully this is doable for the Warners team. They took the trouble to recreate the flowing cape at the end of Lois & Clark’s end credits.

Usually they port over any DVD bonuses. If it's possible, something like a trailer or a cartoon gets upgraded to HD. But they don't really have a budget for making new bonuses. If a release has one, it could be it was created for a cancelled general release. We're getting this series on Blu-Ray because WB did an HD restoration/remaster so the show could also be available in HD on streaming and any future broadcasts instead of working with the old masters.
The CW show, which got pretty big on streaming, paid a lot of loving homages to the 90s series as well as giving John Wesley Shipp the roles of Henry Allen, Jay Garrick and a surprise return as Barry Allen. So, there's likely some people who might check it out thanks to the new show. But I do hope we get more DC TV on Blu-Ray. Count me in for Lois and Clark, Adventures of Superman and the Superman serials. I have the latter two on DVD, but found out some of the discs are known to suffer from WB's disc rot problem, so if it's likely we'll get Blu-Ray upgrades, I'll wait. |

WA releases to my knowledge with newly produced special features.
NEW COMMENTARY: Isle of the Dead - New commentary with Dr. Steve Haberman Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931) - New commentary with Dr. Steve Haberman and Constantine Nasr in addition to an older one by Greg Mank from the DVD The Devil Doll - New commentary with Dr. Steve Haberman and Constantine Nasr The 2 Special Edition releases that Warner Archive has produced, The Curse of Frankenstein and The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm both include numerous new featurettes. The Curse of Frankenstein also includes a new commentary by (again) Dr. Steve Haberman and Constantine Nasr. EDIT: Doctor X and The Mystery of the Wax Museum also both have two new commentaries. One with Alan K. Rode and another with Scott MacQueen on both releases. Also each one has a new featurette on one member of the crew. Notably most of the new bonus features are produced for horror movies and those all involve Dr. Steve Haberman (and mostly Constantine Nasr) being their go-to guy(s) for the commentary.
