Lando Norris has been the talk of the town since securing his maiden Grand Prix win in Miami. While the young Brit was not able to replicate his Miami International Autodrome exploits during the recent Emilia-Romagna GP, he did manage to come extremely close to it.

During the last lap of the Imola race, Lando Norris was chasing down Max Verstappen for the Grand Prix win and was within a second of the Dutch driver. However, the characteristics of the track and a few mistakes on Norris’s part cost him dearly.

Seeing the 24-year-old’s mighty display, several people showered praise on him and the latest to join that list is the former F1 team owner, Eddie Jordan.

Honestly, he's a special young kid, I mean he is full of life, he's never down when you hear him in the interviews he's very gracious. The car was amazing he was amazing! Eddie Jordan said on the Formula for success podcast

The 24-year-old driver has been on it from pretty much the start of the 2024 F1 season. McLaren is doing a great job with the development of the MCL38 and Norris on his end, is also doing a brilliant job in putting the car through the absolute wringer during Grand Prix weekends.

Lando Norris feels it’s ‘exciting’ to see McLaren taking the fight to Red Bull

While Eddie Jordan has left no stone unturned in applauding Lando Norris, the latter is immensely pleased with what his team has done this year. He genuinely feels that exciting times are ahead of the Woking-based team.

The 24-year-old missed out on the win in Imola by an extremely small margin of +0.725 seconds!

Hopefully, it continues like that because it's exciting, it's tough, and it gets you excited every weekend, so I'm looking forward to the next few. Lando Norris said in an interview with BBC

Ahead of the ongoing campaign, Red Bull was expected to dominate as they did during 2023. While the outfit has performed well, it has already lost out on two wins in the first seven rounds. Ferrari got the jump on them in Australia and McLaren did it in Miami!

Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, the lights of Norris and Charles Leclerc could be seen giving Max Verstappen serious headaches going forward. Next up on the F1 calendar is the tight and twisty Monaco f1 circuit, and there, it is all about who qualifies best for the main Grand Prix!
