Wdym by that Megan has never denied her blackness even her character in Suits was mixed.

Meghan being racially attacked by the British public/media and also the way she was treated by the royal family, was a BIG wake up call for her.

back at home in the U.S, she was ambiguous enough to just walk through life without experiencing much, if not any, racism.
She had her white friends, white Husband, white paternal family,
so she knew exactly how to be accepted and blend in amongst the whites,
and she wrongly assumed that she could do the same thing in the U.K
she thought that she would be accepted
them racist white British people are a whole different ball game and it was a massive culture shock for her.

regardless of her being an opportunist, the way that she was treated was so brutal
and i think it genuinely broke her heart, maybe all of her life she never really identified with being black until she became a victim of racism herself.

What is so wild is that some people straight up from the beginning swore up and down that Meghan wasn't Black and that she denied her Blackness. Even if there wasn't any real proof of that.

The proof giving was that she didn't have enough Black female friends and wasn't dating Black men. So for some that is the prerequisite to being Black.

Then there were the people who now dismiss any biracial person as being Black. So they just try to lump her in as white passing (which she has never done) or white presenting (which is a made up term on social media).

Once again, these are all things people have claimed about this lady. But not anything she has said or claimed herself.

So here Meghan is going to Nigeria and people are freaking the hell out. Still claiming she denies her Blackness and is white passing (which she doesn't live her life as a white person clearly). All the while Nigerian Kings are leaving their kingdoms to honor her and her ginger husband.

Yes I think it was heartbreaking for her. And I believe she was suicidal.

I think British society is very classist and yes they are also racist. However I think the British are cool with biracial, if anything they hate Muslims and Indians probably more. They don't have the one drop rule in the same way America. So I think she was probably shocked because she probably went there many times and enjoyed England. I don't think Meghan was enjoying acting in hollywood so much since it is so ageist and brutal to women generally. So she seemed to be trying to transition into maybe politics and humanitarian work before Harry. But she didn't know that marrying into the Royal family would be a different ball game since that is the epicenter. It's a different ball game especially to women that marry in. So yes I think it was a shock.

I think Meghan was always cool in white spaces in California because yes she is very white passing and at the same time tanned aka "exotic."
