It’s been a long time since The Beacon and The Bad Child have faced off, but they’re finally crossing paths again. Both men’s careers are in a Resurgence to be sure, but who proves to be a Strong Survivor?
Ali is rather high off himself as he goes to the ring, and Lio handspring kicks him off the apron! The fans fire up as the TNA X Division Champion flounders around on the outside, and Lio goes out after him! Lio throws hands, they both get in the ring, and the bell rings. Lio CHOPS and fans “WOO~!” Lio CLUBS Ali to a corner, fires off more hands, but Ali shoves him back. Lio run sin, Ali goes up and over, things speed up and Lio hurdles. Lio whips, Ali reverse, Lio reverses, repeat! Lio uses ropes to go up and around to whip, then he redirects! The fans rally for Ali but Lio ducks. Ali comes back, Lio sends him right out! Ali lands on his feet, turns around, into Lio’s DIVE!
The fans fire up again while both men hit railing! Lio gets up and in to build speed and DIVE again! Ali is sent back into railing but Lio wants another! The fans fire up and Lio builds speed, to then build more speed, and he DIVES! Direct hit and the fans cheer the hattrick! Lio puts Ali in and stalks him to a corner. Ali stands up but Lio fires hands! Lio climbs up to rain down fists! The fans count but Ali stops Lio at four to FLAPJACK him off the buckles! The fans rally up as Ali snarls and Lio sputters. Ali has Lio in a facelock, suplexes, but Lio blocks! Ali throws body shots as fans duel, then he whips. Tilt-o-whirl BACKBREAKER!
Ali then suplexes, for a JACKHAMMER! Cover, TWO! Lio toughs it out but Ali talks trash on him. Ali slaps Lio around, drags him up, and the fans rally. Ali bumps Lio off buckles, CHOPS him in the corner, then says, “In Ali We Trust!” The fans are torn but Ali whips Lio corner to corner. Lio slides to a stop, then dodges Ali to go up and over and over again! Lio tilt-o-whirl RANAS Ali into buckles! Then a roll up, spin and ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up and Lio says its time! Lio springboards, but no Rush Hour! Ali hits a LUMBAR CHECK! Shoutout to his old rival, Cedric, then Ali goes up top! 450 SPLASH! Cover, TWO!!
The fans fire up and Ali is shocked that Lio survives! Ali goes back up the corner, aims again, and 450- NO, he has to bail out as Lio moves! Ali runs back in, into a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO, and into a KOJI KLUTCH!! Lio endures, pushes around, has a cover, TWO! Ali has the victory roll, TWO! Both stand, Lio gets around, but Ali trips him! Ali steps through and turns Lio over into a SHARPSHOOTER! The fans cheer that unique way into the hold, and Lio endures. Lio pulls Ali’s hair to pull him down! Then HEEL KICKS! Lio runs, rebounds, RUSH HOUR! Lio hurries up top and aims, for the FINAL HOUR!! Cover, TWO as Ali goes Matrix!!
But then Lio jumps up to POISON RANA!! Cover, TWO!! Ali survives again and the fans rally up. Lio storms over to the corner, climbs up, and the fans rally again. Lio aims, but Ali rolls away to the far corner. Lio hops down, storms up, but Ali YANKS him into a corner! Lio stops himself in time, but Ali blocks his kick! Ali hooks Lio up, backslide, but feet on the ropes!! ALI WINS!!

The politician celebrates his win, but Lio knows he cheated to get it! They argue, the ref steps in, but then Ali CLOBBERS Lio! Ali stomps away on Lio, but then Young Lions rush in to break it up! The fans are torn but then the lights go out? House of Torture is in the building tonight… But when the lights come back, Lio’s foaming black liquid from the mouth! He’s laughing and shouting at Ali as the X Division champion gets outta there! Is this a bad omen of what’s coming for Ali and his gold?

Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls held onto these belts through The Road to Wrestling Dontaku, but not without some controversy. The Headbanga & Young Guerrilla get one more shot, can they take the titles back? Or will TMDK make this a more decisive victory?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if justice is served!
The teams sort out, Mikey starts against ELP. They circle, the fans rally, and the two tie up. Mikey headlocks, ELP powers up and out, but Mikey runs him over! Mikey talks trash, things speed up, but Mikey avoids ELP’s dropkick! ELP avoids the sliding lariat, and both men stare down. They both go after the other’s partner! ELP BLASTS Shane down but Leo ROCKS Mikey first! ELP DROPKICKS Mikey, tags Leo, and the fans rally as they double whip Mikey to a corner. Leo runs in to SPLASH, ELP runs in to clothesline! Feed to Leo for a SIDEWALK SLAM! ELP is up top, AX HANDLE! The fans fire up and the two high-five!
Leo paces around Mikey, brings him up, but Mikey throws body shots! Leo CLUBS away on Mikey, then reels him in to suplex. Mikey fights that and suplexes Leo! Leo fights that, Mikey slips free but Leo elbows him away! Shane tags in to kick low! TMDK double whip, then DOUBLE ELBOW! Leo stays up, runs up, but into a double drop toehold! Then FIST DROP SENTON COMBO! Cover, TWO! The fans rally while Shane powers up. Shane shakes out that leg, runs up, but blocks Leo’s boot! Shane CHOPS, but Leo doesn’t flinch. Shane is surprised, so he CHOPS again! Leo still doesn’t flinch! Leo storms up on Shane, Shane winds up and CHOPS!
Leo just sighs and paces around. Leo grabs Shane by the neck, then CHOPS him down! Leo swings on Mikey but Mikey gets away. Leo tags ELP, and ELP CHOPS Shane! The fans “WOO~” but Shane kicks low. Shane whips,. ELP goes up and over and then ducks ‘n’ dodges to roll off Shane’s back! But Mikey trips ELP up! Shane basement dropkicks ELP and Mikey spins him around for a DRAPING DDT! Shane BLASTS Leo off the apron, too! The fans are torn and Mikey tells the ref ELP just fell like that. Mikey puts ELP in for Shane to cover, TWO! ELP stays in this but Shane brings him around for a NECKBREAKER! Shane pushes ELP to a cover, TWO!
Shane pulls on ELP’s arm, twists the wrist, then KICKS ELP in the back! Shane shakes out that stanky leg, but ELP gets up to fire forearms! ELP ROCKS Shane, runs, leaps, but Shane keeps ELP from Leo! Shane shoves ELP back and DROPKICKS him down! The fans fire up, Shane covers, TWO! Shane tags Mikey, Mikey runs at Leo, but Leo gets away. Shane stands ELP up, URENAGE POWER- RANA! ELP sends Mikey away and fakes Shane out to go low! But Shane grabs a foot! ELP ENZIGIRIS Shane, reaches for Leo, but Mikey has a foot! Mikey ducks the enzigiri, but ELP BOOTS him into Shane! Leo storms in and he rallies on TMDK! Mikey blocks a boot, ducks a lariat, but the UPPERCUT takes him down! Leo has Shane for a scoop, but Shane slips free! Shane CHOPS, Mikey clotheslines! TMDK double whip, but Leo comes back to DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up with Leo and he aims at Mikey! Mikey staggers up, into a choke grip! But Mikey fights free! The introductions are made, the amethyst colored belt is raised, and we see who is NJPW Strong!
The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and go shoulder to shoulder in a test of strength. The fans rally as Alex puts the pressure on. Vaquer rolls, but so does Alex! Vaquer steps over to bring Alex down, and she twists the wrist! Vaquer then shifts to have a motorcycle stretch, but Alex powers it back onto Vaquer! The fans rally, Vaquer arm-drags and then wraps Alex up in a straitjacket stretch! Alex fights up, but Vaquer kicks the legs out to pull her back onto knees! But Alex rolls back to put the straitjacket on Vaquer! The fans rally, Vaquer fights up, and she powers out to victory roll! TWO!
Alex escapes, and she ROCKS Vaquer! Alex takes another swing but Vaquer gets around, waistlocks, then spins and wrenches Alex’s arm to YANK it! The fans rally, Alex wrenches back, but Vaquer rolls, handsprings, and wrenches again. The fans cheer this technical exchange, and Vaquer gets Alex’s other arm to wrangle her down! Vaquer isolates that arm to STOMP it! The fans cheer while Vaquer watches Alex get up. Vaquer is right on her with a whip, but Alex ducks ‘n’ dodges to run Vaquer over! The fans cheer and Alex kicks Vaquer. Alex runs, Vaquer stays low then hurdles. Vaquer DROPKICKS Alex and the fans fire up again!
Vaquer runs corner to corner to jump at Alex, but Alex puts her up top! Alex CHOPS, then YANKS Vaquer down! Cover, ROPEBREAK! Alex KICKS Vaquer, KICKS her again, then hauls her up to CLUB her down. Alex clamps onto Vaquer’s arm to then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Alex sits Vaquer up to basement LARIAT! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up, Alex drags Vaquer up and cravats for a neck wrench. The fans are torn but Vaquer endures and wrenches free. Alex CHOPS, then cravats for some knees! Vaquer still endures and the fans rally up. Vaquer pries free, arm-drags Alex down, then isolates the arm again, only for Alex to avoid the stomp!
Alex mule kicks, SUPERKICKS, and Vaquer falls! Alex covers, TWO! The fans fire up as Vaquer survives, but Alex scowls. Alex runs in at the corner, but Vaquer dodges! Vaquer then fires off HEADBUTT after HEADBUTT! The fans fire up, Vaquer goes corner to corner, but Alex dodges! Alex swings but Vaquer spins her around, snap suplex! Vaquer drags Alex up into the headscissor squeeze, then turns her over to RAM her into the mat again and again and again! The fans fire up and Vaquer lets off to cover, TWO! Vaquer is annoyed but she brings Alex down to scrape her face! Then she drops the leg, brother! Cover, TWO!
Alex is still in this but the fans rally behind Vaquer. Vaquer drags Alex up, but Alex HEADBUTTS! Vaquer HEADBUTTS! Alex HEADBUTTS again! Vaquer HEADBUTTS again! They DOUBLE HEADBUTT! A standing count starts, the fans rally up, and both women sit up at 3 of 10. Alex aims from ropes, runs up at Vaquer, but Vaquer gets around, shoves, only for Alex to stop herself! Alex puts Vaquer on the apron, Vaquer ROCKS Alex, but Alex catches the shoulder thrust for a DRAPING DDT!
Vaquer is stuck in ropes so Alex goes up a corner! MISSILE DROPKICK! Vaquer flops out of the ropes, Alex drags her to a cover, TWO! Alex hauls Vaquer up, suplexes, but Vaquer fights free, SOLE FOOD! The bell rings and we’re on the clock. Archer fires a forearm, runs, but Cobb hits a SPANISH FLY!?! Cobb almost gives himself a brainbuster but he whips Archer, for a TOUR OF THE- NO, Archer slips free! Cobb gets under the lariat, and he GERMAN SUPLEXES! Archer tumbles out of the ring, Cobb follows, and he gets Archer back in the ring. Cobb storms up to ROCK Archer, but Archer shoves back. Cobb RAMS into Archer, then whips corner to corner. Archer goes up and over, keeps moving, but Cobb ducks the lariat! Cobb runs in but Archer TOSSES him out! Archer aims from the apron, to CANNONBALL!
The fans fire up with Archer, then he ROCKS a Young Lion! Archer brings this poor soul over to scoop and SLAM him onto Cobb! The fans boo but Archer soaks up the heat. Archer hauls Cobb up, but Cobb throws body shots and CHOPS! The ring count starts, Archer ROCKS Cobb! Cobb ROCKS Archer! Archer kicks low and then APRON CHOKE SLAMS! The count is 6 of 20 while Cobb flops to the floor. Archer grins and we reach 10 of 20. Archer drags Cobb up, to whip him into railing! The count is 15 so Archer leaves Cobb behind! Cobb hurries up and in at 18! The fans cheer but Archer is annoyed.
Archer storms over to Cobb, stomps him then drags him up. Archer puts Cobb in a corner to CHOP! Cobb sputters and Archer smirks. Archer tells the booing fans to shut up, then he swings, but Cobb dodges to CHOP back! Archer ROCKS Cobb, then CLUBS away at the ropes! The ref reprimands, Archer lets off and says this is HIS title now! The fans boo and Archer scares referee Scarlet off! Scarlet says hey, she’s the authority here, leave her alone! Archer drags Cobb up, but Cobb fires body shots! Cobb ROCKS Archer, runs, but Archer follows to CROSSBODY! Archer laughs while the fans are torn.
Archer talks trash, goes back for Cobb, stomps him, then covers, TWO! Archer is upset with the ref again but she cowers away. The fans boo Archer for being a bully, but he drags Cobb up. We hit five minutes, the fans rally for “COBB! COBB! COBB!” Archer tells them to shut up, but Cobb suplexes first! The fans fire up while both behemoths are down! Cobb and Archer stir, rise up, and crawl to each other. Archer pats Cobb on the head, but says he’s tired of Cobb’s crap! Archer ROCKS Cobb with a forearm, but Cobb ROCKS Archer back! Archer ROCKS Cobb, so Cobb ROCKS Archer! The fans chant “MEAT!” with each forearm they throw!
The forearms keep going, even as both men stand! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Archer CHOPS, Cobb CHOPS, and so fans “WOO~” as they keep going! They even throw LARIATS! “MEAT! MEAT!” Both men fire up, and they DOUBLE LARIAT! DOUBLE LARIAT! DOUBLE LARIAT! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Archer kicks low, SMASHES Cobb, then runs, but into a SUPERKICK! The fans fire up while Archer leans on ropes. Archer snarls, runs up, but into an URENAGE! FALLING HAMMER! Cover, ONE?!? GACHIMUCHI MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO!! The fans fire up while Cobb is surprised, but he goes back for Archer.
Archer grabs at Cobb but Cobb fights off the claw! Archer BOOTS Cobb, ripcords, and SCRAPBUSTERS! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up but Archer drags Cobb back up. Archer puts Cobb in a corner, then puts him up top. Archer wants the inverted crucifix! But Cobb fights that and CLUBS away on Archer! Cobb shoves Archer, but Archer comes back with a STEP-UP KNEE! And now the crucifix, for the BLACKOUT BOMB!! Cover, TWO!! Into a ghost pin!! TWO!!! Archer escapes and the fans fire up again! Cobb goes to a corner, Archer snarls and runs in to SPLASH! NO! Cobb catches Archer and carries him out, ATHLETIC PLEX! Cover, TWO!! We’re past the 10 minute mark so time is still on Cobb’s side. Archer goes to a corner, Cobb fires up and rises up! Cobb runs in but into a BOOT! Archer slashes his throat and says that belt is his! Archer drags Cobb up with a knuckle lock, then CLUBS him. Archer goes up the corner, CLUBS Cobb more, then walks the tightrope! Archer flips the fans off, but Cobb yanks him down! TOUR OF THE ISLAND!!! Cover, Cobb wins!!

Archer tried to go Old School but he let filler get in the way! Cobb is still the star of NJPW World, will he have the biggest and best “season” of them all? Wait! Tomohiro Ishii walks out here! The Stone Pitbull stares the Imperial Unit right in the eye and the fans fire up! Cobb can tell what Ishii wants, and the fans sure like the idea of this match! Cobb sets the belt down, and he mockingly does a Rainmaker Pose. Ishii says he’ll be back. Will Ishii look to terminate Cobb’s reign and make his own?

The Rampaging Dragon is no stranger to the NEVER Openweight Division, but he is no stranger to the KOPW Championship that the Heat Storm now holds. Will Yuya be able to take down one of the toughest men in NJPW to become a rare Double Champion? Or will Takagi earn himself a golden ticket back to the cerulean blue belt?
Each man holds up their titles, the fans cheer, but of course only one is on the line here. The introductions are made, the NEVER belt is raised, and we see who NEVER gives up!
The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two stare down. Takagi and Yuya slowly approach, circle, and tie up. They’re in a deadlock, but Yuya gets around to waistlock. Takagi switches, Yuya switches back, but Takagi drop toeholds. Takagi pushes on the foot, floats to a headlock, but Yuya pops out the back. Yuya headlocks now, but Takagi powers up, only for Yuya to hold on tight! Takagi stands up, pries at the hold, but Yuya grinds Takagi’s head. Takagi still tries, throws some body shots, and pries free. Takagi hammerlocks, headlocks, but Yuya powers out to headlock back! The fans cheer this exchange as Takagi endures.
Takagi throws body shots, then hits a BIG back suplex! But Yuya holds on! Yuya grinds the headlock, but Takagi fights back up. Takagi throws body shots, powers out, but Yuya runs him over! The fans cheer, things speed up, but Yuya drops onto Takagi’s dropdown for a headlock! Takagi fights back up, puts Yuya in a corner, but the ref counts. Yuya and Takagi let off slowly, but then Takagi fires off forearms! Takagi then whips corner to corner, but Yuya goes up! Takagi catches him going over but Yuya hits a takeover! The fans rally as Yuya stays in this, and Takagi keeps cool as he looms over Yuya. Takagi sits Yuya up into a chinlock and he grinds Yuya down. Yuya endures, fights up, but Takagi hits a takeover. Takagi makes it a lateral press, ONE! Takagi still has a half nelson to keep Yuya down but Yuya fights around to a ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer, Takagi lets off cleanly, and he brings Yuya up. Then YUKON LARIATS! Then scoop and SLAM! Takagi goes up, FALLING ELBOW!
The fans fire up and Takagi isn’t done! He hauls Yuya up to POWERBOMB! High stack, TWO! STF!! Yuya endures and the fans fire up! Yuya endures, so Takagi shifts to the JUST FACELOCK! Takagi pulls way back but Yuya still endures! Yuya reaches out, fights around, claws his way over, but Takagi really pulls on the facelock! Yuya still swims his way to a ROPEBREAK! Yuya springs up to CHOP Takagi down! The fans fire up with Yuya as Takagi goes to a corner. Yuya runs in to DOUBLE CHOP! Then he reels Takagi in for an URENAGE! Cover, TWO! Takagi stays in this but Yuya stays focused! Yuya roars, rises up, and he brings Takagi up with a cording hold! Then another cording hold! But Takagi fights the Deadbolt! Yuya staggers to ropes, comes back, but into a JAB! HEADBUTT! SLIDING LARIAT! Cover, ONE?!?!? The fans are thunderous, Yuya staggers around, but into a PUMPING BOMBER!! Pump handle, torture rack, but Yuya slips free! To DEADBOLT!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Takagi escapes and the fans are thunderous again! NJPW Strong Openweight Championship, No Ropes, Last Man Standing: Eddie Kingston VS Gabe Kidd!
The Mad King and the Mad Man have gone back and forth, physically and verbally, but the Windy City Riot really ramped up the animosity. Now there’s quite literally nothing holding them back, not even ropes! Will Eddie hold on to the last piece of what was the Continental Triple Crown? Or will Gabe keep the War Dogs oath of bringing belts and bodies to the Club?
Kidd has Kensei Abbot live and in person to rap the War Dogs theme for his entrance! The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is the last mad man standing!
Young Lions stand in the way until both men are ready. Kidd takes his time putting his robe aside, and he’s ready now. The bell rings, the Young Lions clear out, and Kidd runs up to JUPM KNEE! He and Eddie start throwing hands fast and furious! Kidd fires palm strikes over an dover, but Eddie gives them all back! Kidd ROCKS Eddie, Eddie ROCKS Kidd, repeat! The fans “WOO~” as the CHOPS continue back and forth! Kidd then SPITS on Eddie, but Eddie CHOPS him down! Eddie rains down furious fists and forearms! And he just keeps going until he’s good with it! The standing count starts but Kidd rolls off the ring to stand up. Kidd then starts looking under the ring, and he brings out chairs! The fans fire up as Kidd stands. Eddie runs up but Kidd CHUCKS the chair at him! Eddie falls and tumbles to the floor and now the standing count is on him. Kidd steadies himself, Eddie is still down at 7 but he sits up, so Kidd runs up to CLUB Eddie down! Kidd gets the chair, and CHUCKS it at Eddie again!
Eddie flops over and fans boo, but Kidd tells them all off! Kidd flips off the fans so the fans give it back. Kidd runs up to BOOT Eddie, then stomps on him! Kidd digs his foot into Eddie’s face, and we see Eddie is bleeding! The fans rally as Eddie rises and goes to the ring. Eddie staggers around, but Kidd brings his chair, and CHUCKS it at Eddie again! Eddie falls, but Kidd isn’t done with him! Kidd goes under the ring to bring out a chain! Kidd brings the chain to the ring while the fans rally for Eddie. Kidd wraps that chain around his arm, then aims at Eddie. FULL METAL LARIAT! Eddie is down, the count starts, and Kidd soaks up all the heat.
The count is 5 of 10, Kidd drops the chain. We hit 6, then 7, but Eddie staggers to his feet! Eddie flips Kidd off, so Kidd UPPERCUTS him! Eddie drops to a knee, so Kidd BASEMENT DDTS! Kidd lets the count start and he talks a lot of trash. Eddie sits up at 4, reaches out at Kidd, but Kidd ROCKS him! Eddie tells Kidd off, Kidd fires more forearms, then BITES Eddie’s head! The fans boo but Kidd brings Eddie to a corner. Kidd puts one of the crossbars in Eddie’s mouth! Then he digs it into Eddie’s eye!! The fans boo but Kidd lets off and soaks up the heat from the Toyota Arena while Eddie has the ref check him.
Thankfully, Eddie’s eye is still there, but Kidd half nelsons! Eddie fights the suplex, then switches to POST Kidd! That’s really dangerous from this side given the bare buckles! Kidd falls to the floor, the ref checks him, and the standing count starts. Eddie rests for only a moment, and the count passes 5. The count reaches 8 but Eddie sees Kidd crawling. Eddie gets that chain and wraps it around his hand to FUL LMETAL PUNCH Kidd again and again! Kidd is busted open, but Eddie still wraps the chain around him to CHOKE him! Eddie walks the War Dog to the corner, wraps the chain around the post, and tries to HANG Kidd!!
The fans freak out and this is only the first five minutes! Eddie lets go and Kidd sputters before falling over. The count starts again, Kidd gets the chain off him, but Eddie goes looking for stuff. Kidd crawls around at 7, but Eddie has a stop sign! SMACK and Kidd goes down! But this doesn’t stop Eddie, he puts the sign on Kidd to STOMP it onto him! Eddie leaves Kidd behind to go looking for more goodies. The count is past 5 but Eddie brings out a trash can and lid first! Eddie puts the can in the ring, to then SMACK Kidd with the lid! Kidd staggers around, so Eddie SMACKS him again! Kidd scrambles away to the ring and fans want tables.
Eddie goes for the trash can, but Kidd flips him off. So trash can SMASH! Kidd staggers around, into another trash can SMASH! And another! And another! Kidd falls, and Eddie’s headbutting the can! He truly is a mad king! Kidd is down, the count starts, and we pass 5 of 10! Kidd rises at 8, so Eddie storms over! He won’t even let the count continue as he stands Kidd up! Eddie SMACKS Kidd with the chair! Kidd falls again, Eddie roars, and the count begins again. Kidd flounders around at 4, but Eddie keeps the can away from him. SMASH! Eddie mockingly counts but the count has to reset because of that.
Eddie says fine, he’ll really end it now! Eddie drags Kidd up, throws fists right on the wound, then DIGS his fingers in! Eddie stands Kidd up and half nelsons, to HALF- NO, Kidd fights free! Kidd reels Eddie in, SAIDO on the can!! It wasn’t the whole can, but that still hurt! But now it’s a double standing count as Kidd is also down! Kidd rises up but he has the ref stop, because he isn’t satisfied with just this! Kidd goes looking under the ring again, but he doesn’t find what he wants. Kidd ROCKS Eddie with a haymaker, the standing count starts, and Kidd keeps searching. We pass 5 of 10, but Kidd hurries back to Eddie.
Eddie stands, but then flops over onto the trash can! Kidd stands on him triumphantly, but this isn’t done yet. The fans boo, but Kidd stomps Eddie before continuing the search. Kidd asks where it went, doesn’t find it, but he throws chairs in instead. But then he finds a LADDER! That’s not quite it, but Kidd JAMS Eddie with a chair to keep him down! The count starts again, Kidd keeps searching, but he’s gone around the ring quite a few times already. Eddie stands at 7, and Kidd finally finds it! A chair wrapped in barbed wire!! Kidd puts that in the ring, tells Eddie off, and reels him in! BARBED WIRE PILEDRIVER!!!
The fans lose their minds as that is double-edged for someone who wears trunks like Kidd! The standing count starts, both men are down past 5, but Kidd stands at 7! Eddie sits up at 8 but Kidd is on him! Kidd HEADBUTTS, then sits the regular chairs up. Kidd puts the barbed wire chair across them like a bridge, and he tells Eddie to get up. Eddie wobbles as he rises, and the fans chant for “E C DUB!” Kidd fires off palm strike after palm strike, almost toying with Eddie really as he just throws more shots! Kidd DECKS Eddie, then soaks up heat. But he then drags Eddie back up, suplexes, but Eddie blocks!
Eddie wrenches, and MACHINE GUN CHOPS! Kidd sputters, staggers, and Eddie SMASHES him off the barbed wire chair!! Eddie storms around, then DOUBLE STOMPS Kidd onto the barbed wire!! Both men are down and the count begins! We pass 5 of 10, Eddie rises at 7, and he waves off the count. Eddie grabs the ladder and brings it over, to SMACK Kidd on the back! Kidd writhes but Eddie won’t stop there. Eddie sets the ladder aside, brings Kidd up, and clinches! EXPLODER onto the ladder!!! Kidd writhes across the rungs and now Eddie wants the count. Kidd flails and flounders, but he’s still down at 8! Kidd stands at 9, only to flop over!
The count begins but Eddie says hold on. Eddie goes looking under the ring now, and he even wants the ref to help? Because Eddie is bringing out a TABLE! The fans are finally satisfied as the ref helps Eddie set this table up as a bridge from ring to railing! That proves harder than you’d think, so Eddie YANKS railing closer to the ring! The table bridge is completed, though wouldn’t it have been easier just to stand it up? Eddie still goes back for Kidd, brings him up, and URA- NO, Kidd ducks to fire UPPERCUT after UPPERCUT! But Eddie URAKENS! Kidd flounders and the count starts. Eddie stalks Kidd, kicks the trash can aside, then URAKENS again!
The count begins again, Kidd is still down at 5 of 10, but then Eddie changes his mind at 9! Eddie isn’t satisfied, either, and he goes looking for more plunder! Eddie brings out handcuffs!? The fans are going nuts just seeing that, and Eddie shouts at Kidd, “Show me how much you love NJPW!” Eddie cuffs himself, Kidd fights but Eddie cuffs him! They’re attached at the wrist, and Eddie tells Kidd to get up! Kidd rises, and they start throwing haymakers! The fans are thunderous as these two go wild! Eddie HEADBUTTS Kidd, brings him around, and even though cuffed together, he reels Kidd in! But Kidd fights the lift!
Eddie CHOPS Kidd, CHOPS again, and keeps him close with the cuffs. Kidd ROCKS Eddie, CHOKES him with the chain, and then turns Eddie around for a BRAINBUSTER through the table bridge!!! The fans lose their minds and both men are down on the floor! The standing count is rising fast, both men are still down at 5! At 7! At 9! KIDD STANDS, KIDD WINS!!!

Eddie raised the stakes to an insane limit, and loses his own gamble! Kidd is bringing this title home to the War Dogs, and both David Finlay and Kensei help him to his feet! Is the Mad Man going to keep his promise by taking everything from NJPW to restore NJPW to what it was?
The War Dogs leave Eddie behind for medics to check, and he makes it back to the ring. The fans cheer Eddie on as he rests on the NJPW Strong logo, but then JACK PERRY makes his way out here? The House of Torture won earlier tonight, but then why is The Scapegoat coming back to the ring? Unless… THE YOUNG BUCKS are here!! Matthew & Nicholas Jackson attack Eddie and stomp him out! The Elite is here because Eddie is part of Team AEW for Double or Nothing’s Anarchy in the Arena! The fans are torn, and many chant “C M PUNK!” at The Elite. But Matt gets the mic to say, “NJPW, it’s been a minute, right?”
Matt says “This guy is an idiot! Who picks a fight on Wednesday night, and then on Saturday, shows up at the hometown of The Young Bucks? Beautiful Ontario, California!” Nick stomps Eddie in the nuts! Matt says now that he’s standing here in this great city, it’s all hitting him. He got the chills! So many great memories here! They had a backyard wrestling company out here, there are people he went to high school with. But now that he’s taking it all in again, he’s starting to realize, this was a great place to live, when they were poor. Just like all the fans! No judgment! Matt stomps Eddie but then apologizes.
Matt says the best thing he and Nick ever did was become multimillionaire executives, take their lovely families, pack their bags, and buy mansions in the “high desert!” Nick says he loves this relationship of AEW and NJPW! It gives him a chance to beat Eddie’s ass at two different shows! How about June 30th, when NJPW and AEW combine and do the greatest show, Forbidden Door! But even sooner than that, in two weeks AEW will be in the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and The Elite will kick Eddie’s ass on PPV! Nick stomps Eddie, then tells Jack that this dumbass audience wants to see them hit their finisher on “this p*ick!”
Jack holds onto the mic for Nick, Matt sits Eddie up, and Jack says let’s all say it together. One, two, three! E V P TRIGGER!! Eddie falls back over and Matt thanks everyone for tonight! They’re not coming back to Ontario, CA, it is beneath them now, goodnight! IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Jon Moxley VS Shota Umino!
The Maniac took this title off Tetsuya Naito at Windy City Riot and completed a historic trifecta of being the first WWE, AEW & IWGP World Champion ever. Then he made it through “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs on Dynamite and through Ren Narita just last week at Wrestling Dontaku. However, he now faces his NJPW protege in what is The Roughneck’s biggest match yet! Will #SHOOTER be the student that surpasses the master? Or will Moxley show Shota that he’s 100 years too early to beat him?
Moxley poses on the apron, and Shota DROPKICKS him down! The ref reprimands and the fans go nuts, but then the bell rings to put this on record as Shota FLIES! Direct hit and the fans fire up with Shota! Shota whips Moxley into railing, then Shota mocks the Moxley shoulder slink. Shota then goes around the way to cut Moxley off at the pass, and Shota kicks Moxley low. Shota puts Moxley in the ring, CLUBS him on the neck, then CLUBS him again. Moxley snarls and gets in Shota’s face, so Shota bumps him off buckles! Shota stomps a mudhole in, digs his boot in, but lets off as the ref counts, to shove the ref! Shota then stomps Moxley more!
Shota digs his boot in again, the ref reprimands, but Shota lets off. Shota UPPERCUTS, whips corner to corner, then runs in, but Moxley LARIATS first! Moxley then gets Shota up to LARIAT again! And LARIAT again! The fans fire up and Moxley storms around while Shota goes to the apron. Moxley goes out after Shota to bring him to the ramp. Moxley CLAWS Shota’s back, then snap suplexes him on the ramp! The fans fire up while Moxley leaves Shota behind to refresh the count. Moxley pats Shota on the cheek, he’s oddly proud of Shota pulling that move. Moxley puts Shota in the ring, then waits on him to rise.
The fans rally, Moxley runs up, but Shota ducks to ROCK him! Moxley ROCKS Shota but Shota shouts at Moxley! Shota runs, ROCKS Moxley, but Moxley rebounds to BOOT! Shota fires up and the fans are with him as Moxley goes to ropes. Shota storms up on Moxley and whips corner to corner. Shota runs in, to UPPERCUT! Then Shota fisherman’s for the FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Shota’s not quite perfect but he still fires up. Shota storms after Moxley to snapmare, then he clamps on for the HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Moxley taught Shota this move and now he feels this move! Shota fires up again and he brings Moxley up. Shota clinches, but Moxley fights with elbows! Moxley shoves Shota to a corner, runs up and clotheslines! Then CHOPS! Then forearms!
Shota grits his teeth and gets in Moxley’s face, even as Moxley fires more CHOPS and forearms! Shota then puts Moxley in the corner to CHOP and forearm on repeat, just as Moxley taught him! But Moxley CLAWS eyes, digs his elbow into Shota’s face, and he sits Shota down so he can stand on him! The fans fire up, the ref counts, and Moxley hops off at 4. Moxley “apologizes” with a bow, then stands Shota up. Moxley puts Shota up top to CHOP! Moxley climbs up after Shota and rains down fists! Fans count to 3 then Moxley BITES Shota’s face! The fans are torn but then Moxley punches more! But Shota slips under to tuck Moxley!
Shota learned this one from Ospreay! CHEEKY NANDOS! Moxley is still stuck, so Shota CHEEKY NANDOS again! Moxley eggs Shota on, Shota feints then CHEEKY NANDOS anyway! Shota drags Moxley down, pulls him into the corner, then SLAMS a leg into the post! The ref reprimands but the fans fire up, and Shota tells Moxley he’s an SOB! Shota SLAMS the leg back into the post! The fans cheer while Moxley tries to crawl away, but Shota gets him again! Moxley is still an SOB and Shota SLAMS the leg into the post again! Moxley hobbles away but Shota CLUBS the bad leg. Shota then whips Moxley hard into railing! Shota runs up to dropkick the bad leg!
The fans fire up again and Shota stalks Moxley. Shota puts Moxley into the ring, aims and runs up, to dropkick the leg again! Shota reloads and runs in from another corner, but he blocks the boot! Shota dropkicks the bad leg again! Then he brings Moxley out for a SHINBREAKER, into a takedown and roll, KNEEBAR!! Moxley endures as Shota pulls back on the leg! Moxley asks where the hell Shota learned this one, and he scrambles around to the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer, the ref counts, and Shota lets go at 4. Shota puts the bad leg int he ropes, pulls on it, but Moxley grabs at Shota. The ref counts, Shota lets off to run, but Moxley TOSSES him to the apron! Moxley runs to BLAST Shota off the apron! Shota rises, Moxley gets the bad leg working, and he builds speed! Moxley DIVES and sends Shota into railing! The fans fire up and Moxley stands on railing to show off a bit. Moxley then goes back to Shota, drags him up, and puts him in the ring. Moxley rolls in, paces around Shota, then drags him up, for an X PLEX! Cover, TWO! Shota’s tougher than that but Moxley drags him up to TOSS him back out.
Shota hits railing and falls to a knee. Moxley goes out to stand Shota up and grind an arm. Moxley CLUBS that arm, then hammerlocks it, to POST it! Shota clutches the elbow and hobbles away, but Moxley goes after him. Wrench and ELBOW BREAKER, then a KNEE down low! Moxley hammerlocks the arm again, to POST it again! Moxley gets in the ring and paces around as the fans cheer. The ring count starts, Moxley lets it climb, and Shota rises at 8 of 20. Shota hobbles over at 10, slides in at 11, but Moxley is right on him. The fans cheer as Moxley shots Shota how those HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS are down! Then he KICKS! ELBOW! KICK! Repeat! Moxley covers, TWO!
Moxley keeps Shota down by digging a knee into the arm, and he bends it back! The fans rally while Shota endures, but Moxley shifts position to push on the arm. Moxley SNAPS the fingers, and Shota scrambles away! Moxley gets in Shota’s face, CHOPS him, then eggs Shota on. Shota stands, Moxley pushes him around, but Shota fires a forearm! Moxley fires it back! Shota shakes his head, shouts and forearms again! Moxley ROCKS Shota right back! Shota staggers, fires another forearm, but Moxley ROCKS Shota again! Shota fires himself up and the fans are with him! Shota fires forearm after forearm, but Moxley KICKS the leg!
Moxley wrenches the arm to a DOUBLE WRISTLOCK, then he drags Shota down! Shota endures, even as Moxley tortures the elbow! The fans rally, Moxley shifts to an ARMBAR! Shota endures, kicks and flails, reaches out with his legs, and finds the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Moxley lets off, and he SLAMS the arm on the mat! The fans continue to rally as Moxley brings Shota up. Moxley puts Shota up top, CHOPS him, then climbs up to join him. DOUBLE WRISTLOCK! Shota endures, the ref reprimands, but Moxley still twists the arm! The ref counts, Moxley lets go at 4, then stands Shota up! SUPERPLEX!
Moxley hurries to get Shota back up and in, for a stalling PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Shota survives and the fans fire up! Moxley SLAMS Shota’s bad arm again, then paces. The fans fire up for Shota but Moxley goes out to look under the ring. After all the violence from Eddie and Kidd, what’s even left under there? Moxley finds a TABLE! The ref reprimands, this isn’t a No Disqualification match! Moxley flips the ref off and sets the table up anyway. The fans duel while Moxley makes sure the table is just how he wants it. Moxley blesses it with a quick prayer, then goes back to Shota. Shota runs up to forearm!
Shota throws more shots but Moxley ROCKS him back! Shota CHOPS, Moxley CHOPS, repeat! Then Moxley HEADBUTTS! And HEADBUTTS! And HEADBUTTS again! Moxley runs, but into a DROPKICK! Shota fires up, the fans rally behind him, and he crawls to ropes on one end while Moxley goes to the other. Shota stands, Moxley runs in, but Shota BOOTS! Shota drop toeholds Moxley onto the ropes, then slingshots to APRON DDT! Moxley flounders and the fans fire up with Shota! Moxley is on the apron, and very close to the table he set up. The fans rally with “OI! OI! OI!” for Shota as he makes a lap around the ring.
Shota brings Moxley to the table, throws hands, then CLUBS Moxley onto the furniture! Shota goes up the corner and the fans fire up! The ref says don’t do it, but Shota still MACHO ELBOWS through the table!!! The fans lose their minds as Shota rises from the wreckage! Shota shouts, but then he sits back down. A ring count starts, but Shota stands at 7 of 20. Shota leaves Moxley behind, and Moxley flounders at 11. Moxley sits up at 12, drags himself up at 13, but Shota’s back up top!? Moxley turns around at 15 of 20, staggers at 17, and slides in at 19! Only for Shota to MISSILE DROPKICK him down! And then, EXPLODER! Cover, TWO!!
Moxley survives but Shota won’t let that stop him! Shota hurries to spin Moxley, POP-UP KNEE, and IGNITION! Cover, TWO!! Moxley survives again but Shota just revs up the engines! Kick and DEATH- NO, Moxley wrenches out to CUTTER! Cover, TWO!! But Moxley clamps on the BULLY CHOKE!! The fans rally, Shota rolls Moxley into an STF!! “This is Awesome!” as Moxley now endures! Moxley fights free of the crossface, and gets the BULLY CHOKE back! Shota fights around, stands up, then switches to CROSS RHODES!! Cover, TWO!! Moxley survives but it’s right back to the STF!! The fans fire up again as Moxley endures!
Moxley fights around, drags Shota along with him as he claws his way forward, but Shota drags him back! Shota wants the arms but Moxley resists! Shota traps the arms after all, flips Moxley off, this is just like with Ospreay! Shota rains down forearm after forearm on Moxley’s head and neck! The fans are thunderous as Shota lets off and roars! Moxley flounders around, gets to his feet, and swings wild. Shota storms up on Moxley in a corner, puts him up top, then climbs up. Shota has the arms but Moxley fights that! Moxley wrenches Shota’s hand, for a DOUBLE WRISTLOCK! Shota CLUBS Moxley’s leg, but Moxley underhooks him!
The fans freak out, but Shota fights to underhooks, and CLAWS Moxley’s back! Shota gives Moxley extra CLAWS, then he goes to the very top! SUPER DEATH RIDER!!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Moxley survives but Shota won’t be deterred! Shota aims from a corner, for the BLAZE- PARADIGM SHIFT!! But BLAZE BLADE hits on the rebound!!! The fans are thunderous while both men are down! “This is Awesome!” as mentor and mentee slowly stir. Shota crawls after Moxley, and he fires a forearm! Moxley gives it back! Shota throws another forearm, so Moxley takes off the wrist tape. Moxley fires a forearm, Shota gives it back!
The forearms keep going, and then the two stand up. Shota fires a forearm, but Moxley says Shota’s just pissing him off! Moxley ROCKS Shota, and Shota says Moxley’s the one pissing him off! The forearms keep going, and they’re picking up speed! The fans fire up, Shota ROCKS Moxley but Moxley KICKS, KNEES and ROCKS Shota! Shota drops to a knee, Moxley aims to KICK! And KICK! And KICK! Shota just grits his teeth! Moxley pie faces Shota, scuffs him, and pie faces again. Shota stands up and the fans are all fired up! Shota winds up, to ROCK Moxley! Moxley wobbles, drops to a knee, and now Shota gives the scuffs and slaps!
Shota kicks and kicks and pie faces Moxley, eggs him on, and Moxley stands. Moxley paces, then he comes back to fire forearms with Shota! The fans rally as they go back and forth again, picking up speed, and then Shota kicks the leg! Moxley kicks Shota’s arm! Shota ROCKS Moxley with elbow after elbow, then a ROLLING ELBOW! Moxley ROCKS Shota, runs, but into a POP-UP UPPERCUT! But Moxley still GERMAN SUPLEXES! But Shota rises to HALF ‘N’ HALF! But Moxley’s up to KING KONG LARIAT! But Shota’s up to SHOTGUN!! Shota and Moxley both stand, the fans are thunderous, and they both run in! Moxley’s LARIAT hits first! Cover, ONE?!?!?
We’ve hit 30 minutes and Moxley is scowling at Shota. The fans hope they “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow! Moxley rises, Shota flips him off, so Moxley STOMPS that finger! Moxley gets Shota up, DEATH RIDER!!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Shota shocks Moxley and the fans are thunderous again! Moxley is beside himself as he hobbles around and fires back up. The fans are loving this as Moxley drags Shota up and in again. DEATH- NO, Shota slips free to SATELLITE DDT! The fans rally as hard as they can as Moxley goes to a corner. Shota goes to the other, runs in, and BLINDSIDE KNEES! Then TORNADO DDTS!
Shota isn’t done there, he drags Moxley right up to fisherman, EVOLVED DEATH RIDER!!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Moxley survives and Shota pounds the mat! Shota goes back to a corner, Moxley eggs him on, so he gets BLAZE BLADE!! Shota hauls Moxley up, underhooks, SWINGING DEATH RIDER!!! Cover, TWO!?!?!? Moxley survives again and Shota is going nuts! Shota reloads one more time, Moxley rises up, and Shota runs in to BLAZE BLADE!!! Shota roars and the fans are thunderous again! But Moxley still WRINGS Shota’s arm! And CURB STOMPS! And then DEATH RIDER!!!! Cover, Moxley wins!!

Moxley defied human limitations to survive this shootout! It may not be 100 years too early, but it’s still a few years too early for Shota to surpass The Maniac. But then, how long will Shota have to wait until he is truly the New Ace of NJPW?
As for Moxley, he still shows his student respect by offering a hand. Shota takes it, and Moxley helps him sit up. The fans cheer, and Moxley even kneels down to tell Shota that while he didn’t win this time, he’s on the right track. Shota bows deeply to show respect for his mentor, and the fans also cheer that. Moxley sets the belt down, and he bows in respect to Shota. The fans cheer that, too, but then THE HOUSE OF TORTURE ATTACKS! Evil & Ren Narita beat down Moxley & Shota! The fans boo as Narita CHOKES Shota with the push-up bar! Evil gets the mic, and in English, he says, “Hey, Jon Moxley. F YOU!”
The fans boo more, especially as Evil now lifts up the IWGP World title. “Next challenger is me!” The fans also boo that but Evil says no no no, he is the REAL IWGP World Heavyweight Champion! “So next challenger is you, b*tch!!” And then, just as he did with the NEVER Openweight title, Evil brings out a can of black spray paint, and he vandalizes the world title!! Then he says, “Hey, y’know what? I am the REAL NJPW Pro-Wrestling President! Everything is Evil! <That’s what it is! Remember that!>” The King of Darkness drops the mic as the lights dim. Will Darkness Fall on NJPW once more? Or can Moxley tear down this house of lies?
After Evil & Ren leave, Moxley gets back up so that he can finally speak. “Evil…! I know what you just did, spray painting this belt, was meant to be a very big insult to me, to the fans and to NJPW. And it is. You will pay dearly for it. But I gotta tell you man, this black don’t look too bad. After I beat the s*it outta you, I might keep it like this. So good looking out. Ontario, California, thank you for tonight, this incredible experience you got to be a part of, and NJPW live pro-wrestling show, an authentic NJPW show right here in California, on this side of the Pacific. That’s really something special.
“Every time we come here, we will bust our asses, because you came here tonight and was such a great crowd, gave us something to dig, and we need that energy to beat the s*it out of each other.” The fans cheer that! Moxley tells Evil, “One day, somebody’s gonna hit me and I’m gonna go down, and I’m not gonna get back up. But trust me, today in Ontario, California, is not that day. And Evil, you are not that guy! NJPW, Ontario, California, thank you, we’ll see you next time.” The Maniac rides on, even into the shadows. Will he stare into the abyss and make the abyss flinch first?

The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. They tie up, Dia waistlocks but Akira sits and wrenches free. Dia rolls, wrenches back, but Akira rolls, slips through, wrenches and spins Dia to arm-drag! Akira grinds the arm with a cording hold, but Dia rolls back. Akira gets him for a headlock and takeover, but Dia headscissors. Akira kips free and the fans cheer the standoff. Dia and Akira reset, tie up, and Akira arm-drags! Then he runs Dia over! The fans fire up, Akira gets going, but he hops over the dropdown to whip. Dia ducks the hurdle to tilt-o-whirl arm-drag and DROPKICK! Akira bails out and fans fire up!
Dia builds speed, Akira slides back in and sends Dia out! Akira builds speed but Dia slides back in! Akira lands out safe but turns around as Dia FLIES! Direct hit with the tope conjilo and the fans fire up again! Dia fires up and the fans cheer. Dia drags Akira up and puts him in the ring, then aims from the apron. The fans rally, Dia springboards but Akira gets under! Akira runs in but Dia drop toeholds him to ropes! Dia then dials it up, 619! The fans fire up and Dia slingshot TORNILLO, but onto knees! Akira saves himself with a somewhat double-edged move but the fans rally up. Akira hobbles his way over, brings Dia up, but Dia HIP ATTACKS!
Dia whips Akira to a corner, but Akira comes back to CALF KICK! The fans fire up while both men are down! Dia and Akira go to opposite corners, and Akira runs corner to corner to clothesline! Akira keeps moving, and says “Kon’nichiwa!” before the UPPERCUT! Akira pushes Dia down, goes up and out, and shouts “IKU ZO!” The fans fire up with Akira as he goes up the corner, and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Dia gets outta that one but Akira just fires up more! Akira pounds the mat, “A! KI RA! A! KI RA!” But Dia ducks the Fireball! SOBAT! Dia runs, but Akira clotheslines! Akira runs, but into an ENZIGIRI!
Dia STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, TWO! Akira is up but Dia reels him in! Fisherman and EMERALD FLOWSION! Cover, TWO!! Akira survives #EndOver and the fans are thunderous! Dia thinks what he has to do now, and he goes to a corner. The fans rally as Dia climbs up and takes aim. Akira stands, Dia leaps in, but Akira gets around him! Dia fights the waistlock, gets free, runs, but into a COLLISION COURSE! The fans fire up with Akira and he drags Dia up! SPEED FIRE! Akira then aims from the corner and pounds the mat! “A! KI RA! A! KI RA!” NOVA FIREBALL!! Cover, Akira wins!

It’s another crossover match as NJPW’s Black Mask takes on Pro-Wrestling Noah’s Falcon! Will Bushi make things tranquilo in Chiba? Or will he need some Painkillers after tonight?
The moment Hayata puts his coat aside, Bushi SHOTGUNS him down! The bell rings and Bushi stomps away in the corner! The ref has Bushi back off, but Bushi brings Hayata up to CHOP! Bushi whips, Hayata reverses, but Bushi RANAS! Hayata bails out but Bushi builds speed! Hayata returns to ELBOW Bushi down! Things speed up, and Hayata catches Bushi’s hurdle into an atomic drop! Then he runs to SHOTGUN BOOT Bushi down! The fans fire up while Bushi goes to the apron. Bushi goes to the floor, Hayata waits on him. The ref checks Bushi, he seems okay to continue, so Hayata goes out to fetch him, and POST him!
Bushi tumbles, Hayata paces around him, and the ring count climbs. Hayata drags Bushi up at 9 of 20, puts him in at 10, and the fans applaud. Hayata stands on Bushi for a cocky cover, TWO! Hayata drags Bushi up, bumps him off buckles, and Hayata stomps away! Hayata digs his boot in, the ref counts, and Hayata lets off at 4. Hayata drags Bushi up, snapmares, and he clamps on a chinlock! Bushi endures, kicks around, reaches out, but Hayata grinds him into the mat. Bushi still fights and has the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer, Hayata lets off and he stomps Bushi around. Hayata brings Bushi up but Bushi CHOPS!
Bushi CHOPS again, and CHOPS again! Hayata kicks low but Bushi body blows and dropkicks the legs out! The fans rally while both men are down. Bushi goes to a corner, Hayata runs up but into a BOOT! Bushi runs to RANA and Hayata goes to the apron! The fans rally up again as Hayata stands. Bushi runs to DECK him! Then Bushi builds speed, and DIVES! Direct hit and down goes Hayata! The fans fire up again while Bushi rises! Bushi drags Hayata up and puts him back in. Bushi puts Hayata in a corner to whip corner to corner. Bushi runs in to ELBOW, then he puts Hayata’s leg in the rope! Bushi DROPKICKS the leg, then DRAPING BACKSTABBERS!
Bushi gets Hayata up, blocks his haymaker to spin and DDT him down! Cover, TWO! Hayata is still in this but Bushi SMASHES his knee into the mat! Then dropkicks the leg! Bushi ties the legs up for the ASHIROAD CLOVER! Hayata endures, grabs at Bushi’s mask, but the ref reprimands. Bushi pulls on the leglock and the fans rally up! Hayata fights his way around, reaches out, but Bushi powers him down! Hayata still fights to have the ROPEBREAK! Bushi lets go and the fans rally. Bushi brings Hayata up, has the leg, but Hayata fights the shin breaker with elbows! Hayata goes to a corner, Bushi around in but Hayata dodges to TORNADO DDT!
The fans fire up while both men are down! Hayata grits his teeth, gets to his feet, and storms back to Bushi. Hayata brings Bushi up, says this is it, but Bushi fights the DDT to backslide! Hayata slips free, but Bushi blocks the superkick! Bushi kicks, whips, but Hayata reverses to PELE! Bushi wobbles, Hayata tucks the arms and reels him in, STRAITJACKET DDT!! Cover, TWO! Bushi survives but Hayata gets him back up! 403 IMPACT!! Cover, Hayata wins!

The Sniper of the Skies returns because The Mighty Don’t Kneel! He also returns as the Soul of PWA Champion! But he’s up against Noah’s American Shinobi! Will Eagles be able to shoot Mack down? Or will this Mack attack send Eagles to the back of the pack?
The bell rings and the fans rally for Robbie. Eagles has them hold on, and we gotta do this right. “ROBBIE ROBBIE ROBBIE!” “OI OI OI!” “ROBBIE ROBBIE ROBBIE!” “OI OI OI!” “ROBBIE!” “OI!” “ROBBIE!” “OI!” “ROBBIE ROBBIE ROBBIE!” “OI OI OI!” The fans cheer again and Mack has everyone hold on. “NIN-JA! NIN-JA!” The fans join in on “NIN-JA! NIN-JA!” The two tie up, go around, and Mack wrenches to a hammerlock. Eagles switches that onto Mack, but Mack reaches down. Eagles keeps his legs back but Mack snapmares free. Mack has an armlock but Eagles fights up. Mack wrenches, wristlocks, but Eagles rolls, handsprings, and wrenches back!
The fans cheer this technical exchange, and Eagles wrenches again. Eagles keeps Mack from the ropes, but Mack backflips and headlocks! The fans cheer for “NIN-JA! NIN-JA!” but Eagles powers up and out. Mack ducks the boot, shoves Eagles then hurdles, and backflips to handspring! The fans fire up for the agility as Mack and Eagles take fighting stances. They circle, Mack powers up, but Eagles blocks his strike to wrench, go up and around, then arm-drag! Things keep moving, Eagles hurdles then RANAS, but Mack handsprings and flips through! That last part was just Mack showing off. Eagles gets mad and rushes in!
Mack gets around, Eagles bucks the O’Conner, then he puts Mack on the apron. Mack ROCKS Eagles, but Eagles tiger feints to sweep the leg! Eagles then runs to DIVE! Direct hit with the somersault tope and the fans fire up! Eagles goes all the way to the back row and comes back to high-five everyone. Eagles then gets Mack up and puts him against the post, to KICK! The ref wants this in the ring, so Eagles slides in, just to slide back out. Eagles goes after Mack, brings him up and around, and the fans rally up. Eagles aims and KICKS Mack against the post! The fans fire up with Eagles but the ref insists this goes back inside.
Eagles slides in, the slides back out, only for Mack to CHOP! And CHOP! But Eagles clips the legs! Eagles puts Mack in and pounds the mat. The fans rally, Eagles aims from the apron, and he springboards, only for Mack to get clear! Eagles still comes back to dropkick the legs out! The fans rally, Eagles has Mack’s leg and he says “WOO~!” The fans “WOO~!” with him, then he steps through, only for Mack to KICK and KICK and KICK! But Eagles KICKS Mack’s leg! Eagles brings Mack up but Mack fires palm strikes! Mack whips Eagles to a corner, Eagles reverses, but Mack goes up and over and rolls, then comes back to UPPERCUT!
The fans fire up and Mack goes to a corner. “NIN-JA! NIN-JA!” LION’S BARRAGE! Cover, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Mack is annoyed but he focuses his power. Eagles is still down as Mack runs, jumps up and up and PHOENIX SPLASH onto knees! Eagles saves himself, though a bit double-edged. The fans rally up, Mack goes to a corner and Eagles fires up. Eagles runs in but Mack BOOTS him! Mack runs up but Eagles BOOTS him! Eagles runs in but Mack jumps the lose tiger feint! Eagles avoids Mack’s knee, Mack ducks the roundhouse, but Eagles blocks Mack’s superkick! And hooks him up, only for Mack to roll him up! TWO!!
Eagles runs up, but into a drop toehold! OKLAHOMA ROLL! TWO, Eagles covers, TWO! Eagles runs up, gest around, schoolboy BRIDGE! TWO, but Eagles steps through! Mack counters with a cradle! TWO!! The fans fire up, Mack sunset flips, TWO! Eagles sits on it, TWO! Mack rolls, Eagles rolls through to stack! TWO! Mack has it back, TWO!! GHOST PIN!! TWO!! Eagles has a cradle, TWO!! But this is less about who’s the Best of the Super Juniors and more about keeping Fujita away from the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Sho! Will Kanemaru do his part to protect the Murder Machine? Or will Fujita be ready for every trick in the book?

Fujita runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then RANAS! The fans fire up and Fujita DROPKICKS Kanemaru! Kanemaru bails out but Fujita runs up to PLANCHA! Kanemaru moves, Fujita lands safe on the apron! Fujita kicks but Kanemaru blocks to YANK Fujita down!
Kanemaru pushes Fujita back to the apron, to SUPER KNEE SMASH to the floor! The ref checks on Fujita while Kanemaru paces. The fans rally, and Fujita seems okay to continue, so Kanemaru makes his way back over. Kanemaru rolls into the ring just to refresh the count, then he puts Fujita in. Kanemaru drags Fujita up, whips him to ropes, and he dropkicks Fujita’s leg! Kanemaru gets that leg and steps through for the FIGURE FOUR! The fans rally while Fujita endures! Now Kanemaru steps through to knee drop on the knee! Kanemaru then YANKS the bad leg, and drops an elbow on the knee! Kanemaru has a toehold but Fujita endures. The fans rally, even as Kanemaru pulls on the leg! Fujita drags Kanemaru along as he crawls over, and the fans rally again. Fujita reaches out, but Kanemaru drags him away from the ropes, to YANK the leg again! Fujita writhes but Kanemaru stomps him. Kanemaru stands on the leg and makes Fujita suffer, then he stomps the knee! Kanemaru drags Fujita up, has the leg, but Fujita fights back with a headlock! Fujita throws down elbows, but Kanemaru kicks the leg!
Kanemaru kicks Fujita around but Fujita fires forearms! So Kanemaru CLAWS the eyes! The ref reprimands but Kanemaru kicks and whips. Fujita reverses to LEG LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Fujita rolls to one corner, Kanemaru goes to the other. Bullet Club faces Bullet Club as the War Dogs’ 44 Caliber squares off with the House of Torture’s Murder Machine. But it is also champion VS champion as one half of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions faces THE IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion! Will Drilla killa man just to get that golden ticket? Or will Sho show no mercy, even to a fellow Club member?
Actually, from the look of it, Sho’s trying to be #1 War Dogs fan. He’s wearing one of their merch shirts, is showing off the autograph he got during Drilla’s own meet ‘n’ greet session, and has some really odd props, like a skeleton backpack and a bull skull hat… Drilla digs it all either way. Sho lets the ref check him, and says that the autograph is proof that War Dogs and House of Torture are good friends. The champs shake hands and hold up their belts, which the fans do applaud. The bell rings, and then both champs take aim with their belts! The ref reprimands, each guy claims they were just checking, joking around a little.
Drilla and Sho each back off to put their belts down in their corners, but then they both rush up again! And they both block kicks down low! They both say they’ll have a good clean match, and they set the other man’s foot down. Only to try and block a kick from the other leg! They both say okay, clean break. The ref helps with that as they lower the legs down. But then Sho pulls Drilla’s nose to get a headlock! Sho grinds the hold, Drilla powers up and out, and they RAM shoulders! Drilla and Sho fire forearms back and forth, and Drilla gets the edge! But then Sho CLAWS Drilla’s eyes! Sho runs, but Drilla hurdles, drops, but avoids the basement dropkick!
Drilla KICKS Sho on the back, scoops him, and laughs before the BACKBREAKER! Sho hobbles up, Drilla whips him corner to corner hard, then reminds Sho this is a clean fight. Drilla drags Sho up, reels him in, but Sho bends fingers! Drilla UPPERCUTS! Drilla runs, Sho uses the ref as a shield! Sho then dodges Drilla, bails out, and wants things to cool off. Drilla waits as Sho goes around the outside, but then storms out after him. Sho sneaks the bell hammer?! Drilla pushes the ref aside, Sho JAMS Drilla, then HAMMERS him! Sho CHOKES Drilla, the ref storms over and reprimands, but Sho gives it back to Abe-san, claiming it was Abe’s idea!
Sho then CHOKES Drilla using a camera cable! The ref backs Sho down and reprimands him. Sho CLAWS Drilla’s eyes as he drags him up, and SMACKS him off chairs! Sho leaves Drilla behind while Drilla sits up and the ring count starts. Drilla storms back in but Sho stomps him down! Sho digs his boot in, the ref counts and Sho lets off at 4. Sho CHOKES Drilla, but the ref counts. Sho takes off his shirt, hands it to the ref, and that distraction lets Sho fishhook Drilla into a chinlock! Sho pulls on the hold, it’s almost a choke! Drilla goes to the ROPEBREAK, the ref counts, and Sho lets off. Sho mockingly says there’s no such thing as a clean fight.
Sho kicks Drilla, but Drilla CHOPS! Drilla fires forearms, but Sho CLAWS Drilla’s eyes! Sho runs, Drilla scoops, but Sho slips free! Sho goes to a corner, Drilla runs in but Sho puts him on the apron. Drilla ROCKS Sho, then GAMANGIRIS! Sho flops and flounders, Drilla runs in, but has to hurdle over Sho! Sho keeps going, Drilla DROPKICKS him! The fans fire up while both men are down! Sho scrambles to another corner, Drilla runs in, but Sho BOOTS him! Drilla is annoyed but the fans rally up behind him. Drilla aims from a corner as Sho rises, and Drilla runs in, but Sho ducks the boot! But Drilla stuffs Sho’s spear to reel him in! Canadian Rack, but Sho CLAWS eyes! The ref reprimands, Sho reels Drilla in and tucks the arms, but Drilla fights the lift! Drilla wrenches out but Sho ducks the chop, to SPEAR! Cover, TWO! Sho is frustrated but the fans rally up again. Sho snarls and drags Drilla up to TOSS him out! Sho goes after Drilla with stomps, and he brings Drilla to the back end of the crowd! Sho SMACKS Drilla off chairs, then pulls down railing to get at the tech area!
Sho dribbles Drilla off the table, then gets space. Sho runs, but Drilla FLAPJACKS him off the table! Drilla leaves Sho behind and wants the count! The count does start as Drilla rests in the ring and Sho crawls his way back! Sho stands at 5 of 20, hobbles his way through the crowd and makes it back to ringside at 10. Drilla tells the ref to go faster! But this just slows the ref down! Wait, Gedo sneaks out here, and he LOW BLOWS Sho!! The Blacksmith gets the better of the Murder Machine and we’re now at 15 of 20! But the ref’s so busy watching Sho that Yujiro Takahashi sneaks in to LOW BLOW Drilla!! Tokyo Pimp evens things up!
The count still climbs, Sho hobbles around, and slides in at 19! Yujiro then goes after Gedo on the outside! Yujiro throws Gedo in, letting Sho get the Torture Tool! WRENCH SHOT!! Cover, Sho wins!!

The bell rings, Connors throws up the Too Sweet and barks. He says BANG at Blake, but Blake says hold on. He digs down into his tights, brings out a finger gun, but makes it into a dirty bird! The fans cheer, Connors runs in, but Blake dodges to kick, KICK and he ROCKS Connors in the corner! Blake stomps a mudhole, then gives some Good Vibrations! Blake shouts out the King of Strong Style, then gives a little vafanapoli. Blake goes back for Connors, whips, but Connors reverses, only for Blake to reverse back and RANA! Connors ends up on ropes, so Blake 619s! Then he springboard UPPERCUTS! Cover, TWO!
The fans cheer this fast ‘n’ furious opening, and Blake headlocks to keep Connors down. Connors endures, Blake says this isn’t a War Dog but a puppy. Blake uses the Too Sweet to noogie Connors! Connors fights up, powers up and out, but Blake handsprings over his dropdown! Things keep moving, Blake rolls off Connors’ back to waistlock. Connors elbows free but Blake CLUBS Connors in return! Connors doubles over, Blake dropkicks from between the legs! The fans fire up as Connors wobbles, and Blake brings him back to kip up and whip. Connors reverses, Blake handsprings but Connors gets clear to POUNCE!
Blake tumbles outta the ring from the #JeepFlipper, then Connors goes out after him. Connors throws hands on Blake, and he shouts for fans to move! Young Lions hurry to get fans clear, and Connors BOWLS Blake right into the chairs! Now that was a strike! The fans cheer, but the ref wants Connors to hold on now. Connors storms through, flips hats off fans’ heads, then leaves Blake behind in the wreckage. The fans rally up as Blake rises, but Connors sends a Young Lion into him! Connors slips into the ring and the count begins. Blake sits up, crawls his way back to ringside, and stands at 11 of 20. Blake hobbles over, and slides in at 16!
The fans cheer but Connors is right on Blake. Connors snap suplexes then ELBOW DROPS! Cover, TWO! Connors keeps on Blake with a half nelson, then full nelsons! Blake endures as Connors thrashes him around, and he pries at the hold. Connors holds tighter, and the fans rally as Blake reaches out, and he gets a ROPEBREAK with a foot! Connors lets go, pushes Blake around, then stands him up to CHOP! Connors whips but Blake holds ropes to block! Connors ROCKS Blake, but Blake still holds ropes! Then Blake CLAWS Connors eyes, and BITES Connors’ forehead! Blake whips, Connors reverses, but Blake handsprings to wheelbarrow, victory roll, and SPLASH!
The fans fire up and Blake keeps going! Blake gets up a corner and aims, MACHO ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Connors survives and bails out but the fans fire up. Blake says don’t cheer, boo him! He then builds speed to FOSBURY FLOP into a REVERSE DDT! It wasn’t the cleanest transition but Blake still takes Connors down! Blake gets Connors back in the ring, then DDTS a leg! Blake mockingly applauds but the fans still cheer, and Blake brings Connors up. Connors headlocks to fight the back suplex but Blake throws body shots. Then Blake hits the BIG back suplex! Blake goes up a corner, aims, and 450- NO, Connors moves!
Blake lands on his feet, but turns around into Connors’ SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans fire up while both men are down, and Connors grins as he goes to a corner. Connors barks, the fans clap along, and Connors runs in, into a KIOCK! And ENZIGIRI! Blake runs, but into a LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Blake survives being turned inside-out, but Connors drags him back up. They keep going, and Douki arm-drags! Then DROPKICKS! Taiji tumbles out, Douki builds speed and slides, but Taiji ducks under! Taiji fireman’s carries to POST Douki! The fans are torn while Douki writhes. The ref checks and Douki is okay to continue, but Taiji is untying the blue buckle pad! The Bullet Club Special is now in play! The bell rings and the fans rally up. The two circle, feel things out, then tie up. TJP waistlocks, Knight pries free to wrench and wristlock. TJP slips through to wrench and wristlock back. Knight rolls, handsprings and wrenches again. Knight arm-drags TJP down into the wristlock and the fans cheer. TJP gets up, Knight wrenches and wristlocks again, but TJP rolls, wrenches, cartwheels and drops down to SPIN HEADSCISSOR! Knight rolls but TJP floats to a cover, ONE! TJP headlocks, Knight headscissors, and Knight squeezes tight. The fans rally, TJP moves around and headstands. TJP holds it, the fans cheer, and then TJP turns Knight over.
TJP rolls back, hooks up the legs, BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Knight pops free, covers, ONE! TJP trips, covers, ONE! Both men handspring up and the fans cheer. Knight says that was nice, and the two reset. Knight calls for knuckle locks and TJP obliges. They go shoulder to shoulder, then Knight uses his height to power TJP to ropes. Knight pads TJP on the shoulder, then CHOPS! The fans fire up but TJP turns things around to CHOP Knight! TJP whips, Knight reverses then hurdles, hurdles and arm-drags! TJP bails out, Knight fires up and builds speed! But TJP springboards back in to FLYING ARM-DRAG!
Knight tumbles out now, and TJP runs to WRECK him with a dropkick! The fans fire up as TJP throws up the crown. TJP goes back for Knight, puts him in the ring, and then slingshot SENTONS! Cover, ONE! The fans rally, TJP keeps his cool, and TJP brings Knight up. TJP snapmares Knight to then get the legs, step through, and turn Knight over! TJP hooks the legs in the deathlock, and the fans rally up as TJP bridges back, MUTA LOCK! Knight endures and reaches out! TJP lets go to focus on the legs, but Knight rolls things over and gets the ROPEBREAK! TJP lets Knight go, then brings him up to put in a corner.
TJP UPPERCUTS Knight then goes to the opposite corner. The fans rally up, TJP runs in, but Knight puts TJP up top! Knight CHOPS, then says it’s time for the UP- NO, TJP doesn’t want the Upper Room! TJP shoves Knight down but Knight comes back to DROPKICK! TJP wobbles up top and the fans fire up! Knight says now it’s time, for the UPPER ROOM! But TJP springs right up?! TJP runs, Knight scoops but TJP slips free to SOBAT! TJP runs and slips around, crucifix takedown into a ghost pin, ONE! Knight DROPKICKS TJP outta the ring! The fans fire up, Knight builds speed, but TJP moves! Knight uses a very TJP slip out to the apron!
Knight goes to the corner and slingshots over for a PLANCHA! The fans fire up with Knight and he drags TJP up. Knight puts TJP in, springboards, and FLYING LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Knight swings, but TJP catches him to a dragon sleeper! Knight drops down to victory roll, TWO! Knight runs up but TJP turns satellite DDT into a FLAPJACK on the top rope! Knight is stuck, TJP goes to the corner and climbs! TJP aims to GUILLOTINE MAMBA SPLASH!! Not the cleanest hit but both men still fall to apron then floor! TJP throws a forearm, but Knight gives it back! TJP throws another forearm, so Knight gives it back! They go back and forth, shot for shot! TJP SUPERKICKS, then gets space. TJP runs up, but Knight hits an APRON SATELLITE DDT!! Knight falls to the floor and TJP flops into the ring! The fans fire up as Knight rises again! Knight goes up the corner, takes aim, and steals MAMBA SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!!! But Knight has the KIMURA!!
The fans fire up as TJP endures the double wristlock! TJP scrambles, reaches out, but Knight rolls him from ropes to crank the KIMURA!! TJP fights up to his feet, rolls Knight into a cradle, TWO!! Bridging cover, TWO!! TJP SUPERKICKS again! Then reloads, runs up, SLIDING KNEE!! Then another SLIDING KNEE!! Cover, TWO!!! Knight survives the “One By One” twice, but TJP gets him into a drop zone! TJP goes up the corner, but Knight hits UPPER ROOM again!! The fans are thunderous as Knight roars! Knight runs back in, SATELLITE DDT!!! Cover, KNIGHT WINS!!

Best of the Super Juniors 31 B Block: Hiromu Takahashi VS KUSHIDA!
The Ticking Timebomb will not get his dream of a 10 year streak of him winning the whole tournament, as he fell short last year. But can he at least start on a new threepeat with this one? Or will the Timesplitter make sure history doesn’t repeat itself?
Instead of his usual BOSJ giant notepad, Hiromu hands out headshots of himself, and even has a framed one for Milano Collection AT-san. The fans already chant for “HI-RO-MU! HI-RO-MU!” The bell rings and the two circle. Hiromu avoids Kushida’s leg trip. Things speed up, Kushida drops then RAMS Hiromu. Kushida runs, Hiromu follows, but Kushida slides out. Hiromu slides out, Kushida slides in, but Hiromu slides back in, and narrowly avoids the Penalty Kick! The fans cheer and Kushida says it was that close. Kushida and Hiromu reset, tie up, and Hiromu trips Kushida. Things speed up again, Kushida jumps but Hiromu catches him!
Hiromu runs at the ropes and he puts Kushida on the apron. Hiromu then builds speed to FLYING SUNSET FLIP, only for Kushida to hold onto ropes! Kushida throws down hands, then drops down to MONKEY FLIP Hiromu away! Hiromu flounders around the corner but Kushida storms after him. Kushida brings Hiromu up but Hiromu shoves him away! Kushida ends up on the laps of the front row, and Young Lions help him up. Hiromu runs in, but Kushida catches him for a COMPLETE SHOT to a chair! Kushida gets Hiromu in the ring, drags him up and wrenches to CLUB the arm, UPPERCUT the arm, then CLUB it again!
Kushida wrenches and wrangles Hiromu with a top wristlock, then shifts around to a hammerlock, but Hiromu gets the ROPEBREAK! Kushida lets off, but then drags Hiromu from ropes! Kushida trips Hiromu, turns him over, and has the SEATED SURFBOARD! Hiromu endures even as Kushida pulls him back! Kushida rocks the boat but Hiromu fights against it. Kushida stands, brings Hiromu around and wrenches the arm for an ELBOW BREAKER! Hiromu hobbles away, but Kushida storms up. Hiromu CHOPS, then CHOPS, but Kushida grabs the bad arm! Hiromu goes to a corner, Kushida wraps the bad arm around ropes and pulls! Red Shoes reprimands, Kushida lets off, and then Kushida CHOPS! Kushida wrenches and whips Hiromu corner to corner, but Hiromu reverses. Kushida goes up and over, Hiromu ducks ‘n’ dodges and RANAS! The fans fire up while Kushida goes to a corner. Hiromu goes to the opposite end, but Kushida runs in! Hiromu dodges, then he clotheslines! Hiromu snapmares and basement dropkicks! Cover, TWO! The fans rally and Hiromu drags Kushida up to fireman’s carry. Kushida fights free, shoves Hiromu to a corner, but HIromu BOOTS!
Hiromu runs, avoids the fastball, then gets around to spin Kushida. Kushida fights the suplex to wrench the arm and bend fingers! But Hiromu fireman’s carries! Kushida still has the arm but Hiromu fights through to CORNER DEATH VALLEY! The fans fire up while Hiromu drags Kushida up and fireman’s carries. TIME- NO, Kushida slips free, victory rolls, but then jumps up to turn Hiromu over, and he PENALTY KICKS the arm! The fans fire up, Kushida jumps, HOVERBOARD!! Hiromu endures as Kushida thrashes the bad arm! Hiromu reaches for ropes, but Kushida goes after that arm! KIMURA!
Hiromu still fights, so Kushida goes back to the bad arm for a KIMURA! Hiromu clasps hands behind his back to fight back, then he manages to switch and shove, ELBOW and ROLLING ELBOW! Kushida winds up, Hiromu blocks the fastball! SUPERKICK! Hiromu runs, but into the FASTBALL! Both men fall back and Kushida shakes out the right hand. Kushida paces around, brings Hiromu up and reels him in, But Hiromu scoops to a fireman’s carry! Kushida slips free and he KICKS Hiromu’s leg! And KICKS it again! And then whips, but Hiromu reverses. Kushida handsprings, but inot the GERMAN SUPELX!
Kushida gets up but the HIROMU-CHAN BOMBER hits! Hiromu fires up, the fans are with him, but Kushida drags Hiromu into a cradle! Roll through, BACK TO THE FUTURE!! But both men are down as Kushida couldn’t cradle! Kushida stands, he brings Hiromu up, and BACK TO- NO, Hiromu powers out, to VICTORY ROYALE! A rough landing for Kushida but Hiromu pushes him to a cover, TWO!! Kushida survives and the fans rally up. Hiromu rises and drags Kushida back up. Dragon sleeper, but Kushida slips out of the suplex to backslide! TWO! Hiromu escapes, Kushida rolls him up, TWO! FAST- TRIANGLE D! But Kushida jackknife bridges! TWO!!!
The fans are thunderous as Hiromu escapes! Kushida dodges Hiromu once, but HIROMU-CHAN BOMBER hits on the return! And then fireman’s carry, for TIMEBOMB 1.5!! Cover, TWO!!! Kushida survives and the fans fire up again! Hiromu grits his teeth, stands Kushida back up, dragon sleeper for TIMEBOMB- NO, Kushida pries at an arm! HANGING KIMURA! Hiromu stays on his feet, but Kushida drags him down! HOVERBOARD!!! Hiromu endures, reaches out, the fans rally as hard as they can and he fights around! But Kushida rolls him from ropes! But Hiromu cradles back! TWO!!! Both men stand, Kushida gets around Hiromu and arm-drags! KIMURA!!
Hiromu endures as Kushida again has the double wristlock! Kushida rolls to keep Hiromu from ropes, then CRANKS the Kimura! HIROMU TAPS, KUSHIDA WINS!

The Rogue Luchador and El Inmortal met in the semifinals of last year’s tournament, so what a perfect choice for the opening round’s main event! Will Desperado redeem himself from losing last year? Or will Titan make sure history does repeat itself here?
The bell rings and the fans rally up. The two circle, feel things out, and then tie up. They break, tie up again, and Desperado waistlcoks. Titan turns around to facelock but Desperado wrenches free. Titan rolls, kips up, bridges back, then handsprings to arm-drag! Then Titan handsprings up and the fans cheer. The two reset, circle, and feel things out. They knuckle lock, go shoulder to shoulder in a test of strength, and Desperado powers Titan back! Titan bridges, powers himself upright, then wrenches to hammerlock. Desperado reaches back to headlock, then he wrenches to hammerlock back. Titan throws elbows, jumps and FLYING-MARES!
The fans cheer as the two stand off again. Desperado also applauds, admitting that was good. The two reset, feel things out again, and then Titan just trips Desperado! Things speed up, Titan handsprings over the dropdown, then gets around to waistlock. Titan ripcords and CHPOS, then knuckle locks as he goes up and up and tightrope walks, to FLYING RANA! Desperado tumbles out, the fans fire up and Titan builds speed! Despe moves, Titan rolls to Fosbury Flop and land on his feet! Despe runs in, Titan dodges, and then Titan runs up to tilt-o-whirl, only for Desperado to turn that into a snap suplex to the floor!
The fans rally while Titan writhes, and Desperado stands. Desperado storms over to Titan, brings him up and RAMS him into the apron! Titan drops to his knees, Desperado brings him back up, and Desperado CLUBS him in the back! Titan drops to his knees again but Desperado brings him up to whip at the ring. But Titan rolls and comes back to DIVE! Direct hit and Desperado tumbles into Young Lions! The fans fire up with Titan, and he stomps Desperado. Titan brings Desperado up, knees low, then knees low again! Titan puts Desperado in, covers, TWO! The fans applaud and Titan looms over Desperado.
Titan stomps Desperado, brings him up and snapmares to run and basement dropkick! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer while Desperado goes to a corner. Desperado shakes his head so Titan fires more forearms! Desperado knees low, gut wrenches, but Titan slips free!
Titan shoves, gets Desperado at the ropes, and TORNADO DDTS! The fans fire up while both men are down! Titan pounds the mat, the fans rally up, and Titan roars! Titan gets Desperado’s legs, ties them up, roll and has the deathlock! But Desperado powers out and gets a leg, STRETCH MUFFLER! Titan grabs the ROPEBREAK, but Desperado thrashes until Red Shoes counts! Desperado lets go to then bring Titan up. Desperado kicks the bad leg, whips, but Titan reverses to TORNADO- NO, Desperado DUMPS Titan to the apron! Titan blocks a punch and GAMANGIRIS! But Desperado UPPERCUTS back!

But Titan fires off a strike fest, tops it off with a SOBAT, but Desperado ROCKS him! Desperado runs, Titan goes Matrix! CALF KICK! Then Titan whips, but Desperado reverses, to SPINEBUSTER! High stack, TWO! But into the STRETCH MUFFLER!! Titan flails, reaches out, but Desperado thrashes the leg! The fans rally and duel as Titan still endures! Titan claws his way over, but Desperado pushes on the leg! Desperado drags Titan back, grabs an arm, NUMERO DOS!!
Titan still fights with his free arm, and he has the ROPEBREAK!! Desperado lets go but the fans fire up again! Desperado underhooks, PINCHE- NO, Titan fights that, wrenches and tilt-o-whirls, to then hook Desperado up, only for Desperado to roll! STRETCH MUFFLER, but Titan makes it a cradle! TWO!! Desperado UPPERCUTS! The fans are thunderous as Desperado gets Titan up. Desperado whips, Titan reverses, TORNADO DDT! And roll through to a GOURD BUSTER! SUPERKICK! Both men are down but Titan throws off his elbow pads! Titan skins the cat to the top rope, then aims, to DIVING DOUBLE STOMP!! Cover, TWO!!!
Desperado survives, but Titan has his legs all tied up now! Deathlock, and JAVE INMORTAL!! Desperado endures this modified Muta Lock, reaches out with an arm, but Titan grabs it to make it a straitjacket variation! Desperado QUITS, Titan wins!!!

As for Titan, he gets the mic to say en Espanol, “Glory to the Lord!” And then in Japanese, Titan says, “Good morning, everyone!” The fans cheer and Titan says he figured to try some Japanese. But back in Spanish, he notes how one year ago, he reached the BOSJ finals against Master Wato. But he has returned here to NJPW, “back here for these wonderful fans of Japan,” not to just get some points, but to win the entire Best of the Super Juniors 31!! And it’s for all of you, the fans! The fans cheer that! “So, keep watching El Inmortal, Titan. I’m here representing CMLL. I’m here representing Mexican Lucha Libre. And I’m here representing Los Ingobernables de Japon!”
The fans cheer and Titan stands triumphant, but will he continue all the way back to the finals and finally take the trophy home?

My Thoughts:
A great start to this year’s BOSJ, and fittingly, a lot of the action was high-speed. There were even some great surprises, as I did not think both Hiromu and Desperado were losing to open the tournament. At the same time, Kushida is an accomplished Super Junior, and he should definitely have a strong showing. Titan likewise wins again to follow up from last year and his incredibly strong showing. I don’t know if Titan makes it back to the finals but there are a lot of rounds to go and he could definitely make it out of the block.

Backstage interview with Claudio Castagnoli.
Lexy Nair catches the Swiss Superman on his way out, and congratulates him on his win alongside Bryan Danielson on Collision. But while Bryan had words to say after, Claudio decided to leave on his own. What happened? Claudio says Anarchy in the Arena. He heard the match be made, and then Bryan tonight defending AEW, Claudio gets it. And he also gets wanting to beat the crap out of The Elite. But Bryan and Eddie teaming up again in that same match? The last time they were on the same team for Anarchy in the Arena, that was almost the end of Bryan’s wrestling career. Claudio had to replace Bryan against Zack Sabre Jr. for Forbidden Door.
Claudio says we didn’t know if Bryan would ever wrestle again, all because of Eddie Kingston. Eddie is swearing to be a changed man, but he could go back to his old self at a moment’s notice. Claudio knows Eddie better than anyone else does. And we also know Bryan is on his last year as a wrestler. Bryan can do whatever he wants, that’s fine, and Claudio supports that. They went to Mexico, to Japan, wherever. But this one? Claudio wants Bryan to retire healthy. And he doesn’t want to have anything to do with this Anarchy in the Arena business. He cannot be there for Bryan. He just doesn’t want to see Bryan get hurt.
Claudio leaves, clearly conflicted, but are his concerns perhaps justified?

It is very clear that from now on, it’s not about Best Friends, it’s about #JustTrent. However, will he really be able to make the most of things now that it is all up to Trent? Or will The Peacock strut all over this selfish traitor?

The fans fire up as Castle waistlocks and gator rolls Trent around. Castle gut wrenches, brings Trent up, and he throws Trent around! Trent gets free, swings, but Castle blocks to counter ELBOW! Trent staggers away, Castle storms up, but Trent HOTSHOTS Castle away! Trent goes up the corner but Castle sweeps the legs!
Castle goes to the apron, runs side to side and KNEES Trent to the floor! The fans fire up and Castle flexes. Castle goes after Trent at the ramp, drags him up and puts him in the ring, then stalks Trent to the far side. Castle waistlocks, Trent throws elbows, but Castle still lifts! Trent fights more, gets free, but Castle scoops! Trent slips free to go to the other side of the corner, and Trent HEADBUTTS Castle in the back of the head! Castle falls over, Trent paces, then digs his boots in! The ref counts, Trent lets off, and Trent stalks Castle to a corner. Trent stands Castle up but Castle ROCKS him! Castle BOOTS from the corner, goes up, but Trent YANKS Castle down into a SAIDO! Trent hurries to cover, TWO!

Trent runs up to ELBOW Castle down! Trent soaks up the heat while Castle flounders. Trent stalks Castle to ropes, but Castle throws elbows. Trent CLUBS Castle, Castle ROCKS Trent! JD runs up to SHOTGUN BOOT! Cover, TWO! Keith survives that, but JD drags him back up. JD bumps Keith off buckles, then CHOPS! The fans fire up hearing that one! JD stands Keith up to CHOP again! Keith just fires up to fire CHOP after CHOP in return! JD knees low, whips, but Keith ducks ‘n’ dodges and repeat, to FLYING SHOULDER TACKLE! JD gets up, and Keith scoops and SLAMS! The fans fire up, Keith runs in, and he GAMANGIRIS! JD wobbles, Keith gets around and reels him in, DIAMOND DUST! Cover, Keith wins!

Deonna whips, drops down, but Frost rolls under the lariat to handspring and headscissor! But Deonna blocks that to stomp Frost’s fingers! Deonna stalks Frost to a corner, CHOPS Frost, then stalks her to another corner. Frost CHOPS back! Deonna kicks low, whips corner to corner, but Frost slips out to the apron!
Frost blocks a shot to ROCK Deonna, then she goes up and up to HANDSPRING RANA! The fans fire up as Deonna tumbles out of the ring! Frost takes aim from the apron, but handsprings over the lariat! But Deonna blocks the kick to YANK Frost down! The fans boo but Deonna soaks it all up as Rampage goes picture in picture.
Deonna rolls into the ring, drags Frost up, and wrenches to CLUB the arm. Frost goes to a corner, and Deonna pulls the arm around ropes! The ref counts, Deonna lets off, and then she wrenches Frost to YANK the arm. And YANK it again! Deonna wrenches but Frost fires body shots! Deonna wrenches to WRING the arm out! Deonna soaks up more heat, then drags Frost around to drop a leg on the arm! Deonna leg scissors the arm but Frost endures. Deonna drops a leg on the arm again, then drops a knee on the elbow! Frost endures but Deonna covers, TWO! Deonna is annoyed but she storms up on Frost.
Frost throws body shots but Deonna ROCKS her. Deonna puts Frost in a corner to whip corner to corner, then she runs in. Frost BOOTS Deonna away, then handsprings up and over to SHOTGUN from behind! Cover, TWO! Deonna is still in this but Frost brings her up. Frost whips, Deonna reverses, then Deonna ELBOWS Frost down! Deonna huffs and puffs and stalks Frost, then drags her by an arm. Deonna digs a knee into the shoulder, then gets the other arm. Deonna bends those fingers back, then pulls the arm! Deonna flips Frost into a cover, TWO! Deonna keeps on Frost with a knee to the back and a chinlock on top!
Frost endures, Deonna CLUBS her in the chest, then keeps on the chinlock. Frost fights around, stands, throws body shots, and breaks free to KNEE low! Frost fires more shots as Rampage returns to single picture, but Deonna ROCKS Frost back! Deonna whips Frost to a corner, but Frost ELBOWS her away! Deonna runs in again, but Frost dodges to then SCREW HIGH KICK! But Deonna BOOTS her down! The fans fire up while both women stir. Deonna goes to ropes, the fans cheer on Frost, and Frost runs up to LARIAT! And then wrench, and LARIAT! Frost fires up, Deonna ducks a roundhouse but not the HEEL KICK!
Deonna goes to a corner, Frost runs up to SHINING WIZARD! Frost sits Deonna down then goes corner to corner for the handspring CANNONBALL! Frost drags Deonna to the cover, ROPEBREAK! Frost miscalculated but she drags Deonna back up. But Deonna SOBATS! Deonna runs to KNEE LIFT and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Then a roll through into the FUJIWARA ARMBAR! Frost endures, reaches out, but Deonna pushes way back on the arm! Frost still fights around, makes her way over, ROPEBREAK! Deonna lets go in frustration and she stomps away on Frost! Frost goes to the apron, Deonna runs up but Frost RAMS into her!
Frost ROUNDHOUSES, then goes up top! Frost aims, leaps, TORNILLO! Cover, TWO!! Deonna survives and shocks Frost! But Frost hurries to put Deonna back in the drop zone! Frost goes up but Deonna CLUBS her first! Deonna waisltocks but Frost holds ropes! Frost elbows Deonna away, then mule kicks! Frost adjusts, but Deonna trips her! Deonna throws Frost into the Tree of Woe, to run in and TACKLE Frost! Cover, Deonna wins!

PAC VS Johnny TV w/ Taya Valkyrie!
The Bastard has been looking for trouble, and trouble keeps finding him. Will the Man Gravity Forgot show that it’s not about being TV Ready, but about being ready for a fight?
The bell rings and Johnny pulls out a Canucks jersey from the back of his pants. He shows it off, just to floss it between his legs! The fans boo, but then Pac BOOTS Johnny down! The fans cheer as Pac stomps a mudhole in! The ref counts, Pac digs his boots in, but Pac still lets off at 4. Pac drags Johnny up, bumps him off buckles, then stalks Johnny to another corner. The fans rally for Pac, he stomps Johnny more, but lets off as the ref counts. Pac drags Johnny up to bump him off more buckles! Johnny falls back, Pac goes up the corner, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Johnny tumbles all the way out of the ring!
Pac goes to the apron, KICKS Johnny, then ASAI MOONSAULTS! Direct hit and down goes Johnny! The fans fire up and Pac stalks Johnny. Pac drags Johnny up and into the ring, then storms in after him. Taya gets on the apron to shout at Pac, but then she backs away as Pac storms over. Johnny CLAWS Pac’s eyes! Johnny ROCKS Pac, ELBOWS and ROUNDHOUSES, then runs, to CALF KICK! Johnny hits a STANDING SHOOTING STAR, covers, TWO! Johnny keeps on Pac and throws down elbows as Rampage goes picture in picture.
Johnny digs his elbow into Pac’s shoulder, then brings Pac around to kick low. Johnny TOSSES Pac out, then KICKS him in the back. Johnny grins while he paces around Pac, then talks some trash on the fans. Johnny hauls Pac up to FLAPJACK off the apron! Taya applauds but she’s the only one. Johnny steps into the ring, argues with the ref, and Taya CHOKES Pac! Taya gets away with all that, Johnny waits on Pac to get in, and then he SWITCH KICKS! Johnny BOOTS Pac to ropes, CHOKES him on the ropes, then lets off as the ref counts. Johnny drags Pac into a cravat and snapmares. Johnny keeps Pac down with a neck wrench, but Pac endures.
Pac fights up, throws body shots, but Johnny throws him down by his hair! Johnny then SLIDING LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Johnny rains down forearms, goes for the arm but Pac clasps hands to fight off the armbar. Pac moves around, ROPEBREAK! Johnny lets go but then CLUBS Pac in the corner. Johnny drags Pac around to have another cravat neck wrench. Pac endures, Taya taunts the fans, and Johnny leans on the hold. Pac fights up, even as Johnny adjusts his angle, and Rampage returns to single picture. Pac fights body shots but Johnny knees low! RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! And then Johnny can’t help but go over to Taya for a big kiss!
The fans boo because public displays of affection are gross. Johnny and Taya still flirt even as Johnny goes back into the ring. Pac CLOBBERS him! And CLOBBERS him again! Pac whips, Johnny reverses but Pac CLOBBERS him a third time! The fans fire up with Pac and he stalks Johnny. Pac brings Johnny up to SOBAT! KICK! SOBAT! Pac runs, but Taya trips him up! The fans boo but Taya scurries away. Pac pursues! Taya says he is not about to, but then Johnny runs in! TORNILLO! Down goes Pac, and Johnny puts him back in. MOONLIGHT DRIVE! Cover, TWO!! Pac survives but Johnny drags him to a drop zone.
Johnny stomps Pac, then goes up the corner. STARSHIP- NO, Pac moves and Johnny lands out! Pac rolls Johnny, Johnny rolls through, but Pac dodges him to SNAP GERMAN! Pac roars, the fans fire up, and he runs in, but into a BOOT! Johnny aims again, goes up, and the fans boo the STARSHIP- FLOP!! Pac goes up while Johnny crash lands! The fans are thunderous but Taya gets on the apron! Everyone is distracted and that allows Johnny to get away! Taya takes a swing, but Pac blocks! Johnny runs up, but is sent into his wife!! Pac jumps on, BRUTALIZER!!! Johnny drops to a knee, tries to power up, but he falls to the mat! Johnny taps, Pac wins!!
Winner: PAC, by submission
That’s what you get for picking a fight with a Bastard! Mr. & Mrs. TV will have to regroup and rethink their plan for stardom, but then Bang Bang Gang is here via the tron! They want “Pac-man” to pay attention! Pac won his match, huh? Yeah, just did. But as good as White did against Rocky Romero? Nope! But he at least took White’s advice about it. Then wait, Pac won? Yes. After that embarrassment against Okada, are things finally looking up for ol’ Pac? Well let’s not get carried away. Pac, that is great. The fans are happy, good to see you back in action after vacation. But if you stick your nose in Bang Bang Gang business again, they will put you on the shelf permanently.
But until then, everyone in Vancouver can help them finish this one. If you’re not down with that, they’ve got two words for ya: GUNS UP!! Pac scowls at the arrogant World Trios Champions, but are they the ones playing with fire?
My Thoughts:
Very good episode for Rampage, but like, can we stop these three hour blocks? I know it’s because of actual sports like NBA and NHL, not something AEW really wants to do, but all the more reason they need to just fold Rampage and focus on Collision. This was still great stuff but it just seems like if AEW can’t guarantee Rampage gets to be on its own night or something, it just gets to be a lot to do on a weekend. Good bit of stuff from Collision, with Edge being all strange after his TNT title match with Kyle. But him wanting a barbed wire cage match for the blowoff with Malakai, that is gonna be awesome stuff.
Really good match from Trent and Dalton Castle, but Castle having more and more substitute Boys just reminds me that they stupidly released THE Boys, Brandon & Brent Tate. But either way, of course Trent wins and does it with some Heelish savagery. No response from Orange Cassidy but maybe that’ll be on Wednesday. Really good match from Bryan Keith and JD Drake, but much like Garcia on Collision, this win was filler to keep Bryan in a holding pattern until titles are freed up after Double or Nothing. Really good music video from Acclaimed, as hard as it is to keep up with Caster even with DVR powers. But clearly, Caster & Bowens are going back for the World Tag titles, that should be a good build as we go into the Summer.
Good promo from Claudio to explain leaving Bryan behind on Collision, and he did a great job referencing Anarchy in the Arena 2022. With Bryan about to retire from wrestling and Wheeler Yuta still out hurt, I feel like Blackpool Combat Club is one Heel turn away from breaking up. Good promo from Rush and he’ll be back in action soon. If only there was an indication La Faccion Ingobernable was coming back with him so that they could go after factions like The Undisputed Kingdom, Bullet Club Gold or even The Elite at some point. Also good promo from Scorpio Sky in what is his third return or so. A shame he got hurt while trying to get going in ROH, and that makes me wonder where in the hecc did Ethan Page go. But hopefully Scorpio stays healthy enough to really do something as a singles wrestler.
Good promo from Deonna before her really good match with Lady Frost. Deonna of course won, and I like that Rosa came out after her since she was still in the building. Their rematch should really be something big, like a Last Woman Standing match. Basically, something more than just another standard match given the animosity that’s been building. And good promo from Johnny & Taya on Collision leads to a really good main event match here, but of course Pac won out. Bullet Club Gold sending a message to Pac makes me wonder if Pac really will change his mind and reunite Death Triangle, or he finds a new duo who has beef with the Bang Bang Gang. And even then, I don’t see Pac’s team taking the titles, White & The Gunns only just “unified” them and haven’t even faced a trio from ROH.
