How is jack mcbrayer not in this show?

That's it. Jack Mcbrayer would literally be the perfect actor to play a vault dweller

Also Kurt Russel as a raider leader would be incredible.

I would like to add a casting they missed out on was Marcus Parks as the radio dj

We’d have two Dogmeats for the price of one!

I actually had the idea of making a Fallout 3/nv/4 mod where there is a radio station of nothing but Marcus Parks DJing, there are hours and hours of content between No Dogs in Space and LPOTL

I really like Jack, but I'm guessing what he brings to a project was not what they were looking for in the show.

I feel when a show starts bringing in talent for the sake of the talent alone (Jack Black, The Mandalorian for example) it takes the viewer out of the shows' universe. Kurt would be an example of doing that.

Kurt worked great in the Hateful Eight. The entire cast was filled with high quality/well known actors. His casting would be out of place where the most well known actor in the cast is Goggins.

Uhhh Kyle MacLachlan is a very big actor? Don't get me wrong I love Walton Goggins but MacLachlan is definetely the biggest name in the cast

Fred Armisen was the single casting that bugged me in the show. The Mandalorian is perfect example of how not to do cameos and guest stars.

I felt the same way, at first. But, considering he was playing a DJ playing music no one likes so much so they threaten his life combined with the fact he is a musician, heavily into music overall, plus he's a versatile, highly intelligent comedian, I figured he fit.

He definitely fits the idea of the character he’s just so recognizable to me that I got pulled out of the show briefly.

I think Fred Armisen worked a lot better because it was more of a bit part than a cameo. Thats what Fred Armisen does in most shows he appears in, just a quirky bit part thats in one or two episodes.

You hit the nail on the head. I felt the same way.

Most of the cast is immediately recognizable from other projects.

Kyle MacLachlan is the overseer.

Chris Parnell and Fred Armisen have cameos.

Jack Black didn't work because, while I love him, he's a one note actor who just plays "Jack Black" in everything he's in. Which works in certain roles and Jack McBrayer is literally the live ng embodiment of of how vault dwellers are characterized in the fallout universe.

He'd work for the same reason Chris Parnell worked perfectly.

Recognizable, yes. I'm talking about level of recognizability. I'm aware of most of the players. Your example of Fred Armisen is a good example of someone excellent in what he does and I was surprised to see him. His cameo fit with the character he played considering he's a musician and a comedian his riffing of the violin music fit like a glove. The same goes for Kyle Maclachlan. He's playing a role that casting did a great job of getting him.

Chris Parnell also fit which is another kudo to the casting of this excellent show. I'd like to add the writing, the casting, and the acting are on equal footing which nowadays is so hard to pull off.

I guess we're at a disagreement about McBrayer. I will admit I've only seen him in clips of 30 Rock, Unfrosted (don't get me started), and interactions with Conan so I'm not as familiar. My opinion is based on a limited viewing. The onus is on me to see more of his work before commenting any further.

Danny McBride as a charismatic slaver.

Yeeeesssss his energy from Eastbound and down injected in Fallout would be muah 💋👌🏾😘

I just wanna hear him say (while hitting on Lucy) “Yeah, I, you know, sell people. But it’s just one facet of my personality. Like, I love to garden. Bet you didn’t know that. With all the crops and seeds and shit.”

Is they ever show Vault 76, sure cuz if the accent.

He’d be a fun cameo as another vault dweller. Maybe he’ll show up in season 2?

FTFY

Okay but he has to be reprising his role as Kenneth from 30 Rock. He is immortal after all.

lol McBrayer would be awesome in this show… a dream casting for me would be to have bc Betty White as a wasteland granny … like if Sue Anne Nivens survived the apocalypse… obviously this will remain a dream as I doubt she would accept the role nowadays

RIP in Peace to Betty White

dont forget Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins

remember Cabin in the Woods?

Kurt Russell is like 75 years old now

Kurt Russell is really old now.

The only role he would fit is the president of the "government".

His accent would be pretty hard to explain.

Why the downvote? Jack McBrayer has a strong southern accent. It only takes one generation in the U.S. for—let's say a Japanese—accent to become American. I know several Japanese-Americans to whom this applies.

So how would Jack's Georgia accent make sense in a vault that had a Midwestern accent (which is pretty much the only accent we hear in the show) after many generations?
