What do you consider to be the important elements of the SU style?

Matt Burnett and Ben Levin who were writers on SU went on to create the successful Craig of the Creek show which also features a bit of queer representation. It does not however feature magical aliens fighting each other.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has plenty of girly magical aliens fighting each other, and has some good queer representation. It's funny and has character development, but it's both less silly and less sad than SU.

Over the Garden Wall is pretty different from SU but it has a similar magical quality to it and the same weird mix of cute/disturbing and silly/sad. Also it's great and everyone should watch it because it's great.

Adventure Time, She-Ra, Avatar The Last Airbender are all great

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. Infinity Train. Amphibia. The Owl House.

Those would be my choices too. And for those who slept on one or more of those because of art style differences, just give 'em a chance.

She-Ra for sure. Maybe Bee & Puppycat
