“Treasure” is a song by American singer and songwriter Bruno Mars from his second studio album Unorthodox Jukebox (2012). It was written by Mars himself along with Philip Lawrence,Ari Levine,and Phredley Brown production was handed by Mars,Lawrence,and Levine under the name of the Smeezingtons. Due to the similarities shared with Breakbot’s “Baby I’m Yours” new writing credits were added. The song was selected as the third single by Atlantic Records and was first issued to airplay in Italy on May 10,2013.

I love this song, very dance-able. This was the last time bruno sampled music from a caucasian artist. Cause breakbot sampled it too from black artists. when bruno’s team asked them they said no, bruno changed it back into the original black music that it is, they said on twitter hey, your song sounds like ours! They should’ve just said yes in the first place. Bruno wasn’t cool enough for them back then, now they’re added as songwriters and getting royalties. I think this song is the defining moment bruno realized i want to make rnb music now and funk.
this one holds alot to me, its the first one my daughter LOVED of his, and she was 4 at the time, and she would just run around yelling you are my treasure <3
