Candace Parker is not just a mom — she's a cool mom.

The basketball star, 38, tells PEOPLE how SKIMS became the official underwear sponsor of the WNBA and reveals how her 14-year-old daughter Lailaa, whom she shares with ex Shelden Williams, has taken to raiding her closet.

"She's always in my closet. She comes out with my stuff and then I find it in her laundry," Parker jokes. "She hangs it up like it's hers. And I'm like, 'It's not your stuff. Why is it in your closet?' And she's like, 'Well, I wore it. Let me wear it.' "

"So there are so many jeans that I had that she has now in her closet, but it's really cool because I want her to want to be like me, and in a sense, if she wants to wear my clothes, it's cool as a mom, so I don't mind it as long as she puts it back," she says.

Alongside her daughter, Parker shares son Airr Larry, 2, with wife Anna Petrakova, who is currently expecting the couple's second baby together.

In October, Parker opened up about her daughter Lailaa's unconventional childhood in a clip from ESPN's documentary Candace Parker: Unapologetic. The Las Vegas Aces basketball player discussed raising daughter Lailaa as she pursued her basketball career worldwide.

"Lailaa went everywhere with me, and I don't think my team wherever I played would want me without her. We used to always say we're a team, right?" Parker began.

The clip cut to a video of the athlete and her daughter on an airplane. "Where are we going?" Parker asked a younger Lailaa. "Tianjin," Lailaa responded.

"What I remember, I just wanted to be with my parents and I wanted to be with my family and I wanted to have fun. And that's what I tried to do for Lailaa," Parker later said in a confessional.

"Her fun just happened to take place in an airport in Istanbul, Turkey or her crawling at an away game at Euro League," she continued. "Or her trying potatoes for the first time in Spain. I think it's been amazing because her playground has literally been the world."

In December, Parker revealed that baby No. 3 is on the way in a joint Instagram post with Petrakova on their fourth anniversary.

Petrakova and Parker stood on a basketball court and held a onesie together as they laughed, with Petrakova's bump on full display. Lailaa laughed beside them with a basketball in her hands as the three watched toddler Airr run toward the camera.

"Parker starting 5 loading! Mama and Mommy are switching from man-2-man to zone defense this spring!" the caption read, playing on basketball strategy.
