Giants BREAKING: Andru Phillips Signs $6 Million Contract
The New York Giants believe they got a playmaker with their new third-round pick, 70th overall, in Kentucky cornerback Andru Phillips.
And now Phillips - who won teams over with his versatility and quickly became a rising target during the draft process - now has himself a contract.
The Kentucky corner signed on Tuesday, putting him name on the slotted four-year deal worth just under $6 million.
Phillips is undersized at 5-foot-10, 190 pounds and may lack elite speed. But he's a playmaker with acceleration ... and he can bring some physicality, too.
His athleticism, tackling, and demeanor also translate well to special teams, where he figures to make an immediate impact while he adjusts to his role on defense.
Phillips is a top addition to the secondary New York via the 2024 NFL Draft, joining Minnesota safety and second-round pick Tyler Nubin.
