Comparison of Arista Router 7500R3, Cisco ASR 9006 and Juniper MX480 and MX10004

Design

Are there any colleagues have experiences with the Arista's 7550R?

We are a small Research and Education Network (REN), and we are using Cisco ASR9006 routers in the core and Juniper MX204 routers as edge routers for institutions connecting to the REN core and then to the Internet. We are considering upgrading/replacing the Cisco ASR9006, there are a few options, continue using Cisco ASR series but upgrade to newer version, replacing them with Juniper MX480 or MX10004 so that the core as well the edge are Juniper products, or replacing them with Arista's 7500R3 which claim to be similar to Cisco but better in terms of price and performance, but we are new to Arista and there are not many Arista' router reference in High Education nor in the Research and Education field...

I would replace the entire thing with Cisco ASR or Arista.

I have burned my fingers every time I gave Juniper a chance.

You should also have a look at Nokia.
