Kelly Clarkson marked her first New Jersey concert in nine years, and it happened smoothly despite a stage mishap.
On Saturday, May 11, the American Idol winner serenaded her fans in Atlantic City but faced an unfortunate issue when her in-ear monitors stopped working. Still, she handled it like a pro and impressed her fans.
A fan shared a video of the performance on TikTok alongside the text, "When you lose the monitor and still sound like a b-----!"
Clarkson was performing her track, "Since U Been Gone," when she started pressing against her ear. Despite her faulty in-ear monitors, she successfully delivered the performance and earned praise for her professionalism.
Fans left positive comments under the TikTok video to applaud Clarkson for being an expert on stage.
One wrote, "She was fantastic we were there! Was a great time! Superb talent, so glad we got to see her!"

Clarkson recently addressed the drama surrounding the track, responding to claims in Clive Davis' memoir alleging that she cried uncontrollably because she disliked the song and didn't want it included on her album, Breakaway.
Clarkson appeared on Watch What Happens Live and clarified the rumors surrounding this track.
"Let's give some backstory, Davis," Clarkson said. "I was lied to, and they told me, 'Hey there's these producers and they want to work with you. And there's this song,' and it had dummy lyrics," she disclosed.
The "A Moment Like This" hitmaker added, "I was told to write to the song. Flew me to Sweden, I get there and these two people, [Dr.] Luke and Max [Martin], were not told that I was writing to it, and just already had it written."
From there, she reportedly started feeling distressed about the song because she does not like lying. Thus, she developed a "bad vibe" with it.
Upon release, it became one of Clarkson's best hits.
