Cricket Australia has decided to bring on board a local independent creative agency to inject some excitement into the upcoming men’s and women’s international series.

On Tuesday, Special was announced as the agency that secured the project after a tough competition and has been given the responsibility of coming up with a un concept for the international series. The aim is not only to generate buzz but also to make the event a mustsee highlight of the summer.

The official start date for the partnership was May 1st.

Teresa Basile, Cricket Australia’s head of brand and marketing, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration with Special, stating, “We are very excited to be working with Special on our creative campaign for upcoming international summer of cricket. It’s going to be a big summer with India, England, Pakistan, and New Zealand all touring this season and we can’t wait to see the campaign come to life in the lead up and during these series.”

In addition, Bec Stambanis, a partner at Special, shared their excitement, saying, “International cricket is the heartbeat of summer in this country and there is nothing quite like the anticipation of two great nations coming together to battle it out. We could not be more excited to partner with Cricket Australia on this next chapter and we are inspired by the ambition and passion of the CA team.”

The men’s series is set to kick off with Pakistan facing Australia in three One Day Internationals and three T20Is. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against India will follow with the NRMA Insurance West Test taking place from November 22nd to 26th at Perth Stadium. This will be succeeded by the Day-Night Test from December 6th to 10th at Adelaide Oval; the Brisbane Test from December 14th to 18th at The Gabba; the Boxing Day Test from December 26th to 30th at the MCG, and the Pink Test from January 3rd to 7th, 2025 at Sydney Cricket Ground.

The women’s series will commence with a CommBank T20I series against New Zealand and a One Day International series against India, before progressing to The Ashes against England. The series will include three One Day Internationals, three T20s, and the Day-Night Test at the MCG, Melbourne from January 30th to February 2nd.
