My first time ordering from a ClassicFlix sale. Looking forward to all of these, but I'm especially excited for Our Town, which I've been wanting to see since reading about it in James Curtis's biography of William Cameron Menzies a while back.

A lot of those I haven’t seen but I like Black Magic a lot. I already have that one as well as The Noose Hangs High, Africa Screams among others. And I have Meet John Doe on order, only 13 days away!

Need to add Meet John Doe to page 1

Classic flix has moved back the meet john doe release to may 14. I was expecting this as it now puts it one day from the anniversary of gary coopers death of may 13 1961. Warner is releasing friendly persuasion on the same day and kino is releasing high noon on may 7th the anniversary of his birth. I was expecting this for months to happen as may is the gary cooper month afterall. Allof these movies were originally to come out in april so it wasn't originally planned like this.

Wow, that is disappointing. The Classicflix website still mentions April 30. I wonder when that will be updated?

Where did you find the date push to May 14?

Question for the ClassicFlix team: You guys have been great with restoring and/or remastering classic films in the public domain and making them available to the fans. I was wondering if there are or there could be any plans to do the same for two comedies in the public domain starring the comedy team of Olsen & Johnson? The films are ALL OVER TOWN and COUNTRY GENTLEMEN.

Both have received less than stellar DVD releases over the years. Maybe ClassicFlix could grab them and put out definitive releases? Just curious. Thanks in advance and thank you for all the great work you continue to do.

Regarding the survey, here is my two cents.

Keep doing the physical media releases and license your streaming content to another service. Building your own streaming service would be costly and time-consuming, and the streaming business is currently going through a period of contraction due to too many options clogging up the marketplace. Look no further than NBC/Universal (with Peacock) and CBS/Viacom (with Paramount+). Those companies are hemorrhaging money trying to scale a standalone streaming service, while Sony made the smart financial move by simply licensing its theatrical releases to Netflix.

Personally speaking, I'm not signing up for another streaming service, but if the content you release--especially TV shows--was available in HD on a streaming service, I would watch that in a heartbeat. In fact, if I had to choose between a DVD release of a TV show and an HD stream, I'd watch the HD stream (and, if I really like the show, purchase the DVD as a backup).

This, but I'd also utilize the rent by mail. There's very little I "need", so I'd like to starting trying things before I buy them.

Agreed. Have watched the Meet John Doe teaser trailer and I'm impressed (it wasn't a CF title in the works that jumped out to me, but on watching the teaser trailer, will order a copy sooner rather than later). As for the latest CF newsletter, happy about the Hopalong Cassidy update (The Legacy Collection, Volume 1) along with the mention of The Proud Rebel, Angel: The Complete Series, Volume 1 and "several TV shows" in the pipeline.

Meet John Doe is on the way from Classic Flix. It's a shame the 4k was cancelled, but getting it on blu is still a win.
