In what has to be one of the year's most buzz generating events across the sports world, Jake Paul is set to face off against legendary boxer Mike Tyson on July 20th in Texas. In preparation for the fight, Tyson has ditched both weed and sex to instill a strict discipline for his return to the ring after nearly two decades. However, Paul admits he can't follow Tyson's lead due to some rather... intimate issues.
On his podcast, Paul candidly revealed why he's steering clear of Tyson's abstinence approach: "If I didn't have sex for like... if I restrain myself for like two weeks I start having wet dreams because my body's like, 'Get this out!'" Jake explained, asserting that his experience is totally normal.
This isn't the first time Paul's sexual health has impacted his boxing career. He famously blamed a wet dream for affecting his performance against Tommy Fury, leading to his only defeat. Paul explained the biology behind his bedroom blunder, noting, "You have two weeks of testosterone built up and so the reason a wet dream happens is because your body needs to release that energy."
Jake Paul and Mike Tyson set for historic clash
With three wins under his belt since the Fury fight, Paul is looking to rebound against Tyson, who last appeared in a 2020 exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr. Tyson, nearly 20 years removed from his last professional contest and turning 58 this year, is gearing up for a bout that promises to blend experience with youthful vigor.
The upcoming fight will feature two-minute rounds and use larger 14oz gloves, a nod to the veterans' needs and safety. As fight night approaches, fans are left wondering if Paul's more relaxed approach to pre-fight discipline will give him an edge, or if Tyson's old-school methods will prove superior in the ring.
