The online service HBO Max has renewed the science fiction series “Raised by Wolves” for a second season. The sequel was greenlit before the end of the first season. The company said that by the second week after the release of the premiere episodes, the show's audience had grown by almost 50%.
Raised by Wolves is a project by Ridley Scott (The Martian, Alien). The series tells about the distant future, where the Earth was destroyed during a large-scale war. The surviving children on an unknown planet are raised by two androids: Mother and Father. They are programmed to protect children – both from external threats and from other people.
Many critics warmly received the series, calling it “the first good sci-fi series of the 2020s” and noting great potential.
The first season of the show will include 10 episodes. The final is scheduled for October 1. There is no word yet on when to expect the second season.
