1st XI v Ipswich (Girls)

Felsted 108-5 - Ipswich 111-5 (Ipswich win by 5 wickets)

After losing a couple of early wickets Kimmy R played the innings nicely scoring 45 off just 33 balls. She was supported well at the back end of the innings by Liv A who carried us over the 100 mark to a potentially defendable total. The Ipswich openers took control early and it looked like they were running away with it until Abbie C picked up two wickets to make things more exciting. Unfortunately, the girls were 25-30 runs short which proved damaging in the end.

U15A XI v Chigwell (Boys)

Felsted lost by 8 wickets

Once reduced to 12-3, Felsted were unable to boost the run rate and set Chigwell 94 to win. Good spells from Ralph P and Ben W were not enough to stop Felsted from conceding the winning run in the 16th over.

U14A XI Coopers’ Company & Coborn School (Boys)

Felsted lost by 8 wickets

The U14A produced a more positive display and remained competitive throughout with Harry H, Harry C and Seb J all digging deep with bat in hand to propel Felsted to 122-8 (20 overs). Unfortunately the bowling lacked a consistent line and length which allowed the Coopers’ batters to get off to a positive start in their innings, putting Felsted behind in the game, compounded by a number of dropped catches. The boys battled hard to take the game deep but ultimately the Coopers’ batters had too much quality and progressed to the next round of the cup.
