Google CEO Sundar Pichai offered a glimpse into his personal life during a recent interview with Varun Mayya, founder of Aeos company. While discussing his travel habits, Pichai revealed his favourite Indian dishes, catering to specific regions within the country.
When asked about his favorite Indian food, Pichai diplomatically chose a dish from three different metro cities of the country—
Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai. He said that
when in Bangalore he likes to have Dosa and he enjoys having
Chole Bhature in Delhi. And
when in Mumbai, Pichai likes to have Pav Bhaji.
“When it’s Bengaluru, I will probably get a Dosa. It’s my favourite food. If it’s Delhi, Chola Bhatura. And if it’s Mumbai, I’ll do a Pav Bhaji,” Pichai told the interviewer.
'Spoke about '3 Idiots' movie scene to define success'During the same interview Pichai revealed that he believes that real success comes from ‘understanding things in a deeper way’. Pichai referenced the iconic motor scene from Aamir Khan's classic Bollywood movie "3 Idiots" to illustrate his answer.
When asked about how to break free from the competitive exam mindset, especially for FAANG applicants, Pichai said "I think real success comes from understanding things in a deeper way." FAANG is an acronym representing the US tech giants: Facebook (now Meta), Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google.
“....tempted to go back to the movie 3 Idiots or something like that. And like, you know there’s a scene in there where they ask Aamir Khan the definition of a motor….there’s a version you just describe what a motor is. And there’s a version where you actually understand what a motor is,’ he answers.
