Dina Bonnevie never meddled with her daughter Danica Sotto and her son-in-law Marc Pingris's relationship. In a report by PEP.ph, she emphasized that she lets her children sort out things on their own, proclaiming that she would only guide them if necessary or when they ask.
Recently, Danica and Marc got involved in a controversy. Allegedly, Marc had an affair, and the couple released a statement denying the allegations. According to PEP.ph, Dina spoke about this issue in an unaired segment on the talk show, Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.

Dina admitted that she had long heard about the issue, even before speculations about Marc's alleged infidelity rose to the public. "Matagal ko nang narinig, pero hindi ako nakikialam until my daughter tells me something," the actress said.
"But I don’t make pakialam. As much as possible, sabi ko, 'When you’re married, I stay out. The only third person in your marriage should be God," Dina also stated.

She even recalled when Danica would often visit her house but never brought up the controversy. When the married couple released a statement debunking the rumors that Marc cheated on Danica, Dina knew she had to say her piece about it.
She also disclosed that Danica and Marc's kids reacted to the speculations—which Dina claims is the reason the couple decided to release a statement. "'Dun na ako nag-react. Bakit kailangang mag-statmenet kung hindi naman totoo? Kasi nga, the kids already demanded it," Dina divulged.
Dina added, that she only provides suggestions and advice to her kids and in-laws—if and only if needed. "If you think God cannot solve your problem then maybe I can suggest. I can give some tips or some advice. But if they don’t, I never...Never akong nagtanong kahit minsan ang dami rin nagko-comment kina Tin [Kristine] and Oyo, I never call them and say na, 'Ano ito? Bina-bash kayo.'"
But of course, as a mother, she would gladly rescue them. "Unless troubled na sila na, 'Mommy, may namba-bash sa amin, hindi naman totoo,'" she concluded.

ICYMI, in May 2024, speculations that Marc was cheating on Danica circulated online. The rumors blew up after photos of Marc and an actress spotted at the same place twice went viral.Others though have commented that Marc has long been alleged to be committing infidelity.
One of the photos suggests that Marc and the actress were spotted at a local food chain. The other photos lead to speculations that they also spent time together in Australia.
Immediately after the rumors made headlines, the basketball player clarified everything through an Instagram statement. He pleaded for netizens to refrain from spreading baseless rumors and give their family the privacy that they deserve.
"Wag na po tayo magpakalat ng mga balita na hindi totoo. Humihingi po kami ng respeto para hindi madamay ang mga anak namin ni Danica," he stated, noting that all is well in his family.
