Dagupan, Aparri, Dumangas, Zamboanga to feel 45°C heat on May 18

MANILA, Philippines — Dagupan City in Pangasinan, Aparri in Cagayan, Dumangas in Iloilo, and Zamboanga City in Zamboanga del Sur will experience heat at 45 degrees Celsius on Saturday, May 18.

Based on the latest forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), similar dangerous levels of hot temperatures will also be felt in 33 other areas nationwide on Saturday.

The state weather agency said a heat index of 44 degrees Celsius will be experienced in:

The state weather agency previously explained that 42 to 51 degrees Celsius temperatures are under the “danger” category as such conditions could cause heat cramps and exhaustion, even heat stroke with continued exposure to the sun or heat.
