JAMESTOWN — The Frontier Village will hold its grand opening for the summer season on Saturday, May 25.
The Village will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering visitors a unique and immersive experience of life in the 1880s.
This summer, Frontier Village is introducing new features designed to enhance the visitor experience. Children and families will be discover new playground equipment that will provide a fun and safe environment for young pioneers to play and explore.
Another new feature is the Gatehouse, where active dials and switches allow kids to put their hands on history, thanks to the Jamestown Rotary Club.
There will also be a new space for food trucks to rent and provide a meal option for visitors and the community.

In addition to the physical enhancements, Frontier Village has launched a new, user-friendly website, FrontierVillageND.com . The site offers information about the village, including parking information, hours and a map of the site. Food truck vendors can also sign up to have their truck on-site.
The General Store reopens this summer with hard-dipped ice cream, baked goods, root beer floats and Jamestown and North Dakota merchandise. Other returning features include the Eagles Club Train Parkette and Kiwanis Homesteaders Parkette.
