It was a family affair for Ms. Lauryn Hill and her son this week.

During the Tuesday, May 14 episode of The Tonight Show, the "Doo Wop" singer, 48, performed alongside her son YG Marley, whom she shared with former football player Rohan Marley.

The pair delivered a soulful medley of Hill's 1998 classic "Ex-Factor" from The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, alongside her son's latest singles "Praise Jah in the Moonlight" from 2023 and "Survival," which was released this week.

The R&B star and YG, 22, were joined by a live band and three backup singers who added dimension to the trio of songs.

Hill sported a yellow blazer over a white blouse with baggy black trousers and began the set with a stripped-down version of “Ex-Factor” before her son joined her onstage for a reggae performance of “Praise Jah in the Moonlight.”

Then, YG transitioned into his new single "Survival, which features songwriting credits from Hill and interpolates his grandfather Bob Marley’s 1979 track “Ambush in the Night,” per Genius.

During "Survival," the Grammy-winning artist delivered an impassioned freestyle, mentioning activists like Black Panther Huey Newton and Malcolm X.

“That same bullet even shot at Bob Marley for preaching one love as a single authority / And that bullet doesn’t have to be literal / They try to take a man down for being political,” she raps.

Hill will resume her 25th anniversary tour celebrating her Grammy-winning album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill — which her band — The Fugees with Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel has been co-headlining — later this year.

In November, the "To Zion" performer shared an Instagram Reel announcing the postponement of the tour.

Citing vocal issues, Hill revealed the news with a video of her singing on stage in an oversized black feather hat with a black blazer and matching black floor-length skirt.

"As many of you may know, I’ve been battling serious vocal strain for the past month. I made it through each show by taking prescribed prednisone, but this can be detrimental to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time. In order to prevent any long term negative affect on my voice and my body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so that I can discontinue the medication completely," she captioned the post.

The "Ready or Not" musician then revealed that she's made the decision "to reschedule most of the remaining shows this year."
