Fred Kerley is now the talk of town with his fans expressing worry due to his current form that has seen him lose three consecutive races.
Fans are concerned following Fred Kerley’s third successive loss of the season at the Jamaica Athletics Invitational on Saturday, May 11.
The 2022 World 100m champion once again finished second in the 200m race behind Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes who won the race in 19.96. Kerley finished second in a time of 20.17 seconds with Frenchman Pablo Mateo completing the podium after clocking 20.20 seconds.

This is Kerley’s third successive defeat following his two Diamond League unceremonious exits where he did not win a single race. He started his Diamond League campaign at the meeting in Xiamen where he finished second behind Christian Coleman.
Kerley then proceeded to the Diamond League Meeting in Suzhou/Shanghai where he finished third behind South Africa’s Akani Simbine who won the race and Coleman who finished second.

An X (Twitter) user commented saying: “I’m getting a little concerned about Fred. He’s normally so dominant…still believing.”
Another of Kerley’s fans added a comment, saying: “I really need Fred to win a race. Maybe he's saving all the wins for the Olympics.” Another added a comment saying: “What’s going on with Fred man.”
Another track and field enthusiast commented saying: “Fred washed, pack it up Brodie u been losing since 2023.”
Meanwhile, Kerley was off to a great start to his season where he made his debut in the indoor races, competing at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix and finishing fourth in the race.
