20th Century Girl story

The 1-hour-59-minute movie is full of surprises. In the beginning, we get to see Na Bo-Ra (Kim Yoo-Jung) and her best friend Kim Yeon-Du (Roh Yoon-Seo) living their lives to the fullest. We also get to see some adorable encounters between Na Bo-Ra and Poong Woon-Hoo (Byeon Woo-Seok), which will make you blush if you are a die-hard K-drama fan. But towards the end, we get to see some heartbreaking separations.

The first painful scene occurs when Poong Woon-Hoo has to travel back to New Zealand, where his mother and little brother live. On the day of his departure, Na Bo-Ra reaches the train station just in time to confess her feelings for him. This heartbreaking separation will have you in tears. Woon-Hoo and Bo-Ra maintain a long-distance relationship, which offers a ray of hope, as Woon-Hoo plans to go back and attend university in Seoul.

The second painful scene occurs when years pass and Bo-Ra can't contact Woon-Hoo anymore. Bo-Ra has already begun her higher studies at the university, but Woon-Hoo does not return. Despite several calls and finding every other way to contact his family, Bo-Ra is unable to get any updates about Woon-Hoo. Years pass and Bo-Ra is now a working woman. The soul-stirring part is that Bo-Ra seems to still be waiting for Woon-Hoo, but this time without any hope or expectations.
