FC Nordsjælland stayed top of the Kvindeliga after Emilia Ásgeirsdóttir’s 89th minute strike gave them a dramatic 1-0 win over HB Køge. Winonah Heatley and Malia Steinmetz both played full games for Nordsjælland. Køge’s Daisy Cleverley entered play in the 77th minute, and her teammate / compatriot Claudia Bunge was an unused substitute.

In off-field matters, it’s good to see that Steinmetz and Heatley are enjoying the local public transport system.

AGF were leading 2-1 after 18 minutes of their game against Fortuna Hjørring, but would end up losing 5-3. Matilda McNamara was an unused substitute and Ally Green wasn’t selected in the match day squad.

While Green hasn’t seen much playing time recently, at least she was fortunate enough to witness a beautiful sunset.

Round 4 of the Damallsvenskan saw success for three of the four teams involving Aussies.

Vesna Milivojević played a full game for IFK Norrköping in their 3-2 away victory over AIK. That’s two wins from the two games in which Milivojević has played.

Clare Polkinghorne also played a full match for Kristianstads DFF in a 2-1 away win against Piteå IF, as Amy Sayer begins the long road to ACL recovery.

Angie Beard played the first half of Linköping FC‘s heavy 6-1 home loss against FC Rosengård, as the home side struggled with the high-tempo game of their opponents.

Finally, a hamstring complaint still prevents Aivi Luik from being listed on the BK Häcken team sheet. As the following photo from training on May 4th shows, her return to action should be imminent.

Her team got the job done without her, overcoming IF Brommapojkarna 2-0 at home.
