Actor Sylvester Stallone is currently hard at work on the second season of the Paramount+ series Tulsa King. He's now revealed a new sneak peek at Season 2 by posting an image from the set with one of his co-stars for the upcoming new episodes.

Previously, it was reported that Frank Grillo would be featured in Season 2 of Tulsa King. He will have a large presence in Season 2 as a series regular, playing the role of Kansas City mobster Bill Bevilaqua. On Instagram, Stallone shared a new photo of himself alongside Grillo, playfully pretending to be giving his co-star an uppercut. Stallone noted in the caption, "On the set of Tulsa King with my fellow movie gangster, the great Frank Grillo." Notably, Grillo has played mobster-type roles in films like Gangster Squad.

Other members of the ensemble cast of Tulsa King include Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Tatiana Zappardino, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany. The series is created by Taylor Sheridan, who executive produces with Stallone, Craig Zisk, Terence Winter, David G. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Braden Aftergood, and Keith Cox.

Frank Grillo Defended Sylvester Stallone Amid Background Extra Controversy

Former casting supervisor Rose Locke previously alleged that Stallone had made disparaging remarks about some of the background extras she hired for a Tulsa King Season 2 episode. Director Craig Zisk denied that Stallone ever made these comments. Later, Grillo weighed in on the situation, insisting that Stallone has been very professional on the set.

"I was there, I was there that day," Grillo said to TMZ in April. "None of it is true. It's a person who, I think, got caught not doing a proper job and we unfortunately lie in a time where people will claim their feelings were hurt, or this or that, and you have to deal with it. Sly is a gentleman. Sly is a professional. Sly never has problems. He treats everybody beautifully. It's sad to see a guy like Sly Stallone have to answer to that stuff, because that's not who he is."

The series debuted on Paramount+ for streaming on Nov. 13, 2022. It was an instant hit, resulting in a series renewal very soon after the show's premiere. The series follows Stallone as a Mafia capo looking to build a new empire in Oklahoma after he's released from a lengthy stay in prison.
