Emily Blunt and John Krasinski's daughters are big fans of his new movie.

On Monday, May 13, the famous couple walked the red carpet at the premiere of Krasinski's new film IF and spoke with Extra about whether their daughters — Hazel, 9, and Violet, 7 — have watched the movie yet. The couple noted that the film got "two thumbs up" from their kids.

Though his girls were ultimately fans, Krasinski said that there was added pressure "because I made it for them, completely and entirely about their magical world, so this is one I can't screw up."

When the family did get to watch the film together, the proud dad said it was "amazing" and "unbelievable."

"I don't even know about 'cool dad,' it was emotional dad, for sure. It was so beautiful."

"For our kids to have their mom in the movie too was so massive. It was a family affair," Krasinski added.

Blunt agreed, saying, "It's just heart-stopping watching them watch a love letter to them, and they know it. I think they can feel that, his beating heart in this movie."

While the couple's daughters enjoyed IF, the Fall Guy actress has shared in the past that their daughters don't love seeing their parents' work.

“They don't love watching me on screen,” Blunt said. “Which I understand because I'm their mommy and it's very strange to see me play someone else.”

She continued, saying that it was even true of her more family-friendly movies, such as 2021's Jungle Cruise.

“They've only seen Jungle Cruise once,” the Oscar nominee revealed. “They didn't like the underwater stuff where I'm trapped and I'm in peril.”

In the film based on the Disneyland theme park ride of the same name, Blunt’s adventurer Dr. Lily Houghton shares that she can’t swim.

Upon seeing her in danger, recalled Blunt with a frown, Hazel and Violet “started crying. They left the room.”

This past summer, the Devil Wears Prada star revealed she was taking a year off of acting to focus on her most important role: mom.

“It’s one of those things when people are like, ‘How do you balance it?’ I never feel like I’m doing it right, you know,' ” Blunt said on the Table For Two podcast about juggling her career with raising young children.

“But this year I’m not working. I worked quite a bit last year and my oldest baby is 9, so we’re in the last year of single digits. And I just feel there are cornerstones to their day that are so important when they’re little."
