High Point, Charleston Southern, and USC Upstate picked up series wins on Sunday, while Gardner-Webb avoided a sweep with a win over UNC Asheville.

HIGH POINT 8, WINTHROP 7 | BOX SCORE
The High Point University baseball team won its final home game of the 2024 season as they took the series against Winthrop, 8-7, on Sunday afternoon.  Matt Little got the start for the Sunday rubber match against the Eagles as he tied his season high in strikeouts as he punched out eight batters. Little shoved 6.1 innings, allowing five runs, on four hits.  The top of the first ended quick as Little shut them down in order after punching out the last guy on strikes. The Panthers couldn't get it going in the bottom of the first as they were also sent down in order.  The Eagles came up to bat in the second, but Little sent them down once again after surrendering a double.  Charlie Klingler drove a double to left field to put him in scoring position for Miggy Echazarreta. Echazarreta then singled through the left side to score Klingler for the first run of the afternoon.

CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 2, RADFORD 0 | BOX SCORE
Charleston Southern clinched the series victory over Radford behind a 2-0, shutout victory on Sunday afternoon. This marked the second shutout victory over the Highlanders of the weekend and helps keep the Buccaneers in the driver's seat of their bid for a spot in the Big South Championships.  Runs were hard to come by both teams in the game due to a masterclass from each pitching staff. The Buccaneers were able to scratch one across home in the third and sixth innings each to get their 2-0 lead.  In the third, Lucas Pringle had a leadoff double to right center and moved to third on a wild pitch. Later in the inning, Sam Low had a groundout that scored Pringle and broke the tie.

USC UPSTATE 8, LONGWOOD 5 | BOX SCORE
Closing out its 2024 Big South Conference slate, USC Upstate baseball captured the rubber match of its series with Longwood as the offense backed a strong effort from the team's pitching staff in an 8-5 victory Sunday afternoon at Buddy Bolding Stadium.  At the plate, all nine Upstate starters picked up at least one hit as five Spartans recorded multi-hit efforts en route to 14 hits on the day. The biggest hit of the day came as redshirt junior rightfielder Koby Kropf hit his 20th home run of the season, becoming the second player in Upstate history with 20 or more home runs in a single season.
