The CIF Southern Section track and field division finals will take place Saturday, May 11, at Moorpark High School.

The top 12 athletes across all divisions in distance events (800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters) and top 12 athletes in all field events will advance to next week’s Masters Meet. The top nine athletes in other running events and top nine relay teams also will move on.

Here are some of the Inland girls athletes to keep an eye on during the event.

Rachel Aguilar, Ontario Christian: Aguilar qualified third in the 400 meters (57.14) at last week’s Division 4 preliminaries and also will run a leg on the 1,600 relay.

Alyssa Alumbres, Vista Murrieta: Alumbres qualified first in the triple jump (39-8) and second in the long jump (19-3 3/4) at the Division 1 prelims. She also will run on the 400 relay.

Makena Bailey, Chino Hills: Bailey advanced to the Division 1 finals in three events (high jump, long jump and triple jump). Her best chance at a title is the high jump.

Kaylee Best, Norco: Best is the defending Division 2 champion in the triple jump. She also had the division’s top qualifying mark last week in the long jump (18-9 1/2)

Rylee Blade, Santiago: Blade is looking to defend her Division 1 title in the 3,200, and she had the top qualifying time in prelims (10:25.35). She won section and state titles in cross country in the fall.

Charli Calas, Linfield Christian: Calas, who also stars on the softball team, qualified third in the shot put (PR of 54-10 1.4) and fourth in the discus (PR of 114-3) at the Division 4 prelims.

Megan Charley, Ontario Christian: Charley was the top qualifier in the 800 (2:14.40) at last week’s Division 4 prelims. She also is part of the 1,600 relay.

Braelyn Combe, Santiago: Combe had the top time in the 800 (2:14.05) and qualified second in the 1,600 (4:54.07). She also could run in the 1,600 relay.

L’Mio Edwards, Claremont: Edwards won a Division 1 title in the 800 last season. This year, she is competing in Division 2 in the 800, the 1,600 and the relays.

Aspen Fears, Vista Murrieta: Fears is the two-time defending Division 1 champion in the pole vault. She is the Riverside County record holder in that event (13-4).

Kylani Gaines, Riverside Poly: Gaines qualified second in the 100 hurdles (14.46) and fourth in the 300 hurdles (PR of 44.31) at the Division 1 prelims.

AB Hernandez, Jurupa Valley: Hernandez qualified second in both the long jump (18-3) and the triple jump (37-3) at last week’s Division 3 prelims.

Sofia Lieberman, Murrieta Valley: Lieberman had the top time in the 1,600 (4:53.79) at the Division 1 prelims, and she also advanced in the 800. Her sister Jordin also will run the 1,600.

Kayla McBride, Ayala: McBride was the top qualifier in the 400 (PR of 54.77) and No. 2 qualifier in the 200 (24.15) at the Division 1 prelims. She also will run on both relays.

Andreese Ortiz, Heritage: Ortiz qualified second in the shot put (42-3) and third in the discus (124-9) in the Division 1 prelims.

Nicole Samson, Webb: Samson is the defending Division 4 champion in the 800. She qualified second (2:16.22) in that event at last week’s prelims.

Mikensi Smith, Yucaipa: Smith posted the No. 2 time in the 100 (PR of 11.92) at the Division 1 prelims. She also qualified sixth in the 200.

Jaylen Spencer, Vista Murrieta: Spencer qualified third in the 300 hurdles (44.28) at the Division 1 prelims. She also will run on both relays.

Su’Riah Williams, Redlands: Williams was the top qualifier in the discus (PR 147-9) at the No. 3 qualifier in the shot put (40-0) at the Division 2 prelims.

Keelan Wright, Chaparral: Wright is the favorite to sweep the Division 1 sprints, as she posted top qualifying times in the 100 (11.73) and the 200 (23.90) and prelims.
