During the rain delay, fans and experts began to look forward to the remaining matches in the tournament, and one in particular; RCB vs CSK on May 18. The match could be a virtual knock-out for both sides, and it could also be India and CSK legend MS Dhoni's final professional match.

It is still unknown whether Dhoni plans to retire after this IPL season, or if he wants to continue for longer. Former CSK and RCB player, and India international Robin Uthappa expressed his view on JioCinema on Thursday. He said,

Coming to CSK, is this MS's last run? I don't think so, personally, I don't think so. But, do they want to spoil RCB's party? Definitely. Ruturaj, I think, would want to get to the knockoout stage in his first season as captain. That will be a huge confidence booster for him and for CSK. It's one for the long run. Let's see where that goes.
