I've finally seen a commercial that made me laugh! But Allstate still sucks!

Larry Bird my spelling mistake. Lakers V Celtics. I watched Utube videos about him.
He was one of biggest Trash talkers out there. He would walk past the opposing bench
look at the coach and say why are you disrespecting me? You put a white guy against me
and he would say I'm gonna put 40 points on him. And he did!
Majic and Bird. Doesn't get any better

Allstate does suck, but the "Mayhem" series of commercials are hilarious. Now if we could just kill off the Limu Emu...

I'll agree the mayhem commercials are pretty funny.

Contrast that with Limu Emu.... commercials so annoying I'd NEVER EVER get that insurance.

I've had Allstate for something like 30 years. Why do they suck? What am I missing, and who is better?

In my life when I was most passionate about professional sports was when I was an NBA fan from the mid/late 1970s until Jordan retired. I lived in CA, but I was a diehard Celtics fan, starting with Dave Cowens, an old John Havilcek, then Bird came along. I watched regular season games, playoff, and finals for years, 1980s basketball were the Golden Years, and Larry Bird was king. It was a great time to be a fan of pro basketball. And Bird was (and still is) an enigma; white player with a working class mentality. Even at his peak, he lived in his small hometown, mowed his own grass (John Deere tractor). The beginning of his back problems started when he was shoveling gravel while building his mother's driveway, he hurt his back. This was after he won the league MVP award. Similar to Jay Leno, he lived on his endorsement money and saved his NBA salary.

BTW, great commercial.
