3 suspects tied to string of Southern California 7-Eleven robberies arrested

Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with a string of convenience store robberies overnight in Los Angeles and Orange counties and two other suspects remain at large, authorities confirmed to KTLA.

Some of the robberies were captured on surveillance video, including one that occurred Monday around 1:45 a.m. at a 7-Eleven store in Bellflower.

Four male suspects were seen running into the store in the 9400 block of Artesia Boulevard and taking items. Three of the suspects also jumped the counter and one took cash from the register before fleeing in what investigators described as an orange SUV.

An hour prior to that robbery, four suspects wearing ski masks hit a 7-Eleven in the 15300 block of South Figueroa Street in Gardena and fled in an orange Kia.

On Sunday evening, between 9:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., convenience stores in Norwalk, Commerce, Fullerton and Anaheim were also robbed in a similar fashion, including one in which the suspects stole the clerk’s car. That vehicle, which was used in another robbery, was later recovered in Orange.

In all, nine convenience stores were robbed during the spree.

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lakewood Station spotted five people in a vehicle with a license plate matching that of the getaway vehicle in the robberies. When authorities attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver took off and a pursuit was initiated.

At around 2:30 p.m., the suspects pulled over at E. 11th Street and Raymond Avenue in Long Beach and attempted to flee officers on foot.

Deputies, with the assistance of the Long Beach Police Department, set up a perimeter and captured three of the suspects.

Anyone with information about the robberies or the two outstanding suspects is urged to contact LASD’s Lakewood Sheriff’s Station at 562-623-3500.
