MUMBAI: INDIA bloc top guns took potshots at PM Modi at a rally at BKC's Pataka Maidan Friday, with Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray leading the barrage, saying India had seen demonetisation in 2016 and would see "de-Modination" on June 4. He said BJP was a garbage truck picking up rotten leaves - traitors - from everywhere, and Modi was trying to instil a false fear of Muslims in people.
Uddhav accused Modi of insensitively holding a roadshow while people had died hours earlier in the hoarding crash in Ghatkopar. AAP boss Arvind Kejriwal said Modi was following in Russian prez Putin's footsteps and warned that if he stays in office, he will put the entire opposition in jail. NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar said people would lose their right to vote if Modi returned. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge called the PM "jhuton ka sardar".
