T-Series head Bhushan Kumar has responded to the speculations surrounding his and Divya Khossla’s divorce. Divya grabbed the attention of the netizens earlier this year when she stopped using his surname, leading to divorce rumors.
Despite both Bhushan and Divya’s teams asserting that their relationship is intact, Bhushan personally addressed the divorce speculations for the first time. In a recent interview, he explained that Divya dropped the surname due to astrological reasons, emphasizing that there are no marital issues between them.
Initially, the producer hesitated to delve into the specifics of the matter, as his intention was to promote his film, Srikanth. “Not here because we are talking about the film”, he remarked, before briefly addressing the issue.
“But nothing of that thing has happened. We have always cleared it also. She had also cleared it. It is just that astrological reason, she wanted (to change). I don’t follow but she follows,” he informed Zoom TV.
For the unversed, Bhushan and Divya exchanged vows in 2005 after meeting on the sets of “Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo.” According to reports, Bhushan was smitten with her and desired to marry her. Divya disclosed that it was her mother who persuaded her to accept Bhushan’s proposal. While Bhushan has earned acclaim as a producer in the film industry, Divya has previously worked as a director in numerous films before venturing into acting. Her most recent appearance was in “Yaariyan 2,” and she is set to star in “Savi.”
