Man seriously injured after truck rolls on Adelaide freeway

A driver has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after his truck rolled on the South Eastern Freeway in Adelaide.
South Australia police said the concrete pumping vehicle was travelling inbound when it lost control at the Glen Osmond intersection, smashed into a wall and turned over at about 3.50am.
The driver, believed to be a 65-year-old man from the town of Millicent, was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Diversions and speed restrictions were put in place while emergency services remained at the scene.
There were significant delays for motorists, particularly for those travelling towards the Adelaide CBD, which cleared at about 1.45pm today.
The crash has renewed calls for safety upgrades at the intersection.
Nine people were injured at the notorious intersection in 2022, while two people died when a truck lost its brakes in 2014.
"I've always thought over the years that I've been driving there should be another arrestor bed before the set of lights," one truck driver told 9News.
The Royal Automobile Association of South Australia is calling for traffic lights to be moved back to the intersection.
Investigations into this morning's crash are continuing.
