Theories about the couple’s unborn baby are circulating online, with one Reddit thread suggesting they’re having a girl since there seems to be an increase in the color pink across both the parents-to-be’s social media accounts.

"So far all of the signs are pointing to her being pregnant with a girl..." one person wrote, adding three screenshots of the pair’s recent social media activity as proof.

The so-called clue is a selfie Hailey posted that appeared taken shortly after waking up. The model showed off her makeup-free with tousled hair, gazing at the camera. Clutching her Rhode phone case with both hands, white robes hung on the wall behind her.

Despite her simple caption, "Good morning this morning," fans zoomed in on the emojis she included—a heart hand emoji and a pink bow emoji—prompting speculation about her baby’s gender.

Another screenshot showed Hailey carrying a pink pacifier. The Rhode Beauty founder had shared a video donning an oversized black leather jacket with green stripes, wherein she surprised fans by revealing a baby pacifier from her pocket.

An increasing number of celebrities are choosing to keep their pregnancies private to shield themselves and their unborn child from intrusive media scrutiny and to maintain a semblance of normalcy in their personal lives. This trend extends to withholding the names and genders of their children after birth, as a means of safeguarding their privacy and protecting them from the intense public spotlight.

Notable examples include Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who kept details of their pregnancies and their children's names tightly under wraps until they were ready to share them with the world, citing a desire to maintain control over their narrative and shield their family from unwanted attention.

Similarly, actors like Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have chosen to keep their children's lives largely private, with few photos existing of them online.

Even the Kardashian-Jenners have followed this trend. Kylie Jenner didn’t confirm her first pregnancy until Stormi was born, despite intense fan speculation and suspicious paparazzi photos. She also chose to keep the name of her second child, son Aire, under tight wraps until almost a month after his birth.

Fans can’t blame celebrities for waiting to prioritize their family's well-being and privacy above public curiosity, opting to share glimpses of their lives on their own terms. But it seems like fans will have to wait until the Biebers are ready to confirm their baby’s gender, as they’re remaining silent despite the rumors.
