The 5 Marx Brothers

Apparently someone took the final photograph of all five Marx Brothers together at some time in 1960 or 1961. I could not remember where I had obtained a copy, and how I knew its significance, until I decided to post it here.

I took a trip to The Internet™ and learned that

This photo was taken and published by NBC prior to the 1961 death of Chico Marx, as all five brothers appeared as guests on the program. It was taken by an NBC press employee, and appears to have been taken in one of the “green rooms” at Rockefeller Center.

The page where I found this information also contains a small image of what the poster claims as the penultimate photograph of all five Marx Brothers together, taken seconds before this one, and with the five of them rearranged (or yet to properly arrange themselves).

In case you can’t remember: from left to right we can see Harpo, Zeppo, Chico, Groucho and Gummo.
