Margaret Alice Welsh OBITUARY

Margaret Alice Welsh March 24, 1917- July 27, 2010 Resident of Piedmont Margaret passed away peacefully at the Willow Creek Dementia/Alzheimer Facility in Castro Valley with her son Thomas at her side. Margaret was born in Chico, CA. Parents James Albert Lewis and Elsie Ethel Lewis. Parents divorced when Margaret was approxi-mately 5. Elsie and Margaret moved to San Luis Obispo and then finally ended up in San Jose where Margaret finished high school during the Great Depression years. In San Jose Margaret met and married Owen Raymond Welsh who recently passed on January 17, 2007 after 60+ years of marriage. Margaret was a businesswomen buying and selling real estate and keeping the financial records for her husband’s business. All who knew Margaret knew she was a devout Christian and willing to help anyone in need. She had many friends who she kept in contact with over her 93+ years. She loved helping others, teaching Bible study groups, music, gardening, small dogs, parakeets, creating a family estate, and garage sales. Survived by son Thomas, adopted daughter Michelle, daughter-in-law Victoria, grand-daughter-in-law Amy, grandsons: Robert, Christopher, Aiden, grand-daughter: Kayleigh, great grandsons: Christian & Declan.
