Edward J. Collins in San Diego formally of South Boston & Melrose, MA. Passed away suddenly on December 21, 2021. Devoted Father of Edward J Collins III & his fiancé Meghan Beswick of Quincy, Loving Grandfather of Cameron, Izabella & Ryleigh, Son of Rita ( Welch ) Collins-Nave of South Boston & Edward J Collins of Melrose. Brother of Donna Collins Williams and her husband Rick of Redwood City, CA., Christine and her husband Edward Lyons of Cambridge, Daniel, Patrick & Paul of South Boston and Jeffrey of Melrose. Uncle of Kathryn & Lauren Williams, Brigid & Maeve Collins. Also survived by many aunts, uncles & cousins. Member of The Loma Club of San Diego, where he had two daily standing tee times & former twenty four year member of Laborers Union Local 223. Huge Boston Sports Fan.
Visitation in the O’Brien Funeral Home 146 Dorchester Street South Boston on Thursday January 6th from 3-8pm. Funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Church 615 East Fourth Street South Boston on Friday January 7th at 10am. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
