A mere three days after his wife and ‘Trinayani’ co-star Pavithra Jayaram passed away, the actor committed suicide.

He was discovered dead in his residence in Telangana on May 15. In a statement to the police, Challa’s father revealed that his son had been in a state of depression for the last few days.

In the preceding post, he shared a montage of the late actress and left a cryptic message, asking her to “wait” for two more-days. After the news of his death broke on the Internet, netizens flooded the comment section, mourning the loss of the two stars and lamenting at why they did not notice the caption.

My Pavi is no more (cry and pray emojis) pls ra come back plsss. (This is the last picture I took with you, I'm unable to digest you left me alone. Please call out for me once again. My Pavi is no more, please come back)." He also wrote on his Instagram stories, "Papa pls come back raaa. Pls nee mama kannilu aaplu. (Please come back and wipe my tears.)" he wrote.
