Details of Williams’ current financial holdings have not been made public. PEOPLE previously obtained paperwork from the New York Department of Finance filed on Feb. 8 showing that therewas a tax lien against the condo for the amount of $568,451.57, accrued between 2019 and 2021.

Williams legal and financial guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, and ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, could not be reached for comment.

Prior to the sale of the apartment, Williams’ has not been living in the residence. In May 2020, she was found unresponsive in her home by The Wendy Williams Show  deejay DJ Boof, PEOPLE previously reported. She was later rushed to the hospital, where she needed several blood transfusions.

This was followed by the conclusion of her show — without Williams on screen — in 2022 after 13 seasons.

Since, her family shared her diagnoses with PEOPLE and that she presently remains in a care facility, adding that her court-appointed legal guardian is the only person who has unfettered access to her.

Her life between August 2022 and April 2023 was documented for the Lifetime series, Where Is Wendy Williams? The docuseries captured the former host's life following the cancellation of her synonymous talk show due to alcohol addiction and several health issues, including Graves’ disease and lymphedema.

Lawyers for Williams’ guardian allege in court documents that Lifetime "incorrectly states that [Williams] is 'broke' and cruelly implies that her disoriented demeanor is due to substance abuse and intoxication.” The court documents also reveal Williams was paid $400,000 for her participation in the film.
