I feel so lucky to have seen him in this production. The performance I attended was the day before it closed. He walked right past me.

I would have loved to have seen it.

My current bucket list is his Pirates of Penzance performance in April next year.

I had no idea he would be performing that! Thank you, I’ve signed up for emails from them. I hope you are able to attend.

He's the major general, so he has that delicious song about his boyhood in Surry being a modern major general. I think it'll be a blast.

😂😂

I absolutely agree. Thank you again for the heads up.

Oh, absolutely. Sondheim-y would have killed to have written this.

Sondheim is amazing! DHP is amazing! I think I need to see this play!

No clue what this is but I hate it. Love DHP, though. But yeah, gross and cringey as hell.

u/risynn avatar

It's the cast recording of the Stephen Sondheim musical Here We Are. DHP starred in the role of the bishop during the November 2023 - January 2024 run.

The play itself was Sondheim's last work.

I agree it's a bit cringy, but I think it's meant to be. I'm unsure about the gross, though.

Woof yeah that explains it. I hate musicals.
