Sam Phillips stars in Bridgerton season three and fans are eager to know where they would have seen the Lord Debling actor before.
Bridgerton is back with the first four episodes of series three now available to watch on Netflix.
This time, all eyes are on Colin Bridgerton (played by Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) with a potential romance brewing from the first episode.
Penelope has been secretly in love with Colin for years but as she gears up to try and find herself a husband, she becomes acquainted with new character Lord Debling.

Who is the actor behind Bridgerton’s Lord Debling?
Bridgerton season three’s newcomer Lord Debling is played by actor Sam Phillips.
The 39-year-old has been in a number of popular series over the years, including Grantchester, This England, Father Brown, The Syndicate, In The Flesh and Doctors.
However, his most notable role to date has been in Netflix’s The Crown as the Queen’s Equerry.
While season three of Bridgerton may have only been released, Phillips is already working on other projects.

According to his IMDb profile, Phillips will be lending his voice for the new video game Squadron 42 where he plays an advocacy pilot.
The second of his two upcoming pieces of work is a short called Silence which is currently in post-production.
Phillips’ character Lord Debling is completely new to the world of Bridgerton as he was created specifically for the show and does not feature in Julia Quinn’s books.
The star explained to TV Insider that he liked this aspect of Lord Debling as it means hardcore fans of the franchise can still be surprised.
Why did Harry and Meghan make a Netflix series about their life?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have found themselves at the centre of public attention since they took a step back from senior royal duties in 2020.
In a trailer for the Netflix series about them, Prince Harry told viewers that “no one sees what’s happening behind closed doors” in a reference to how their lives may differ from what the public think about the couple. Meghan adds: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”.
Reports suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could receive up to $100 million for making the show, although this has been disputed and the true figure is unknown.
He said: “It’s exciting because he’s not in the books. He’s shrouded in a bit of mystery. It’s quite exciting.
“There’s been no dialogue about we know this is going to happen. We know this is the arc of Debling.
“I love how there’s mystery, and I like that they get to see his journey because I love his journey.”
Bridgerton is available to watch on Netflix.
