Isla Fisher Breaks Silence After Announcing Sacha Baron Cohen Divorce

Fisher announced in April that she and Cohen filed for divorce in 2023 after 13 years of marriage.

Isla Fisher is opening up about her feelings for the first time since announcing her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen.

The Wedding Crashers star took to her Instagram Story and posted a photo of her enjoying what appeared to be a glass of rosé. She smiled while sitting outdoors with greenery surrounding her. Her hands were clasped over her leg while wearing an Army-green colored jacket with stars.

She added the text over her photo, "thank you for all your kindness and support," followed by a face blowing a kiss emoji.

It's the first time Fisher has spoken out since sharing in April that she and Cohen called it quits after 13 years of marriage. Fisher shared that the estranged couple, who had been together for more than two decades, filed for divorce in 2023.

"After a long tennis match lasting over twenty yers, we are finally putting our racquets down," Fisher, 48, wrote over a photo of her and Cohen, 52, in her Instagram Story. "In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change."

Cohen shared the same photo and statement to his Instagram Story.

Cohen and Fisher welcomed their first child together, daughter Olive, in October 2007. Following a six-year engagement, they got married in a private ceremony in Paris in March 2010. They'd go on to have two more children, daughter Elula, born in 2010, and son Montgomery, born in 2015.

The divorce announcement came not long after Rebel Wilson revealed that the Borat star is the A-lister she was referring to as an "a**hole" in her memoirRebel Rising. Wilson and Cohen co-starred in the 2016 film, The Brothers Grimsby, together, where she played the wife of his character, Norman Butcher.

Cohen, through his spokesperson, released a statement to ET denying Wilson's claims.

"While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby," the statement read.

While the timing of the divorce announcement raised some eyebrows, a source clarified to ET that Fisher and Cohen's divorce had nothing to do with Wilson's allegations.

The source told ET, "Sacha and Isla decided to separate in 2023, long before Rebel Wilson's claims were made. Their decision to split is unrelated to her allegations."
