'Embarrassing' footage emerges from Arsenal's away dressing room after Man Utd win

Arsenal beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford as the rain started to pour inside the Theatre of Dreams.

Footage of the away dressing room used by Arsenal at Old Trafford has been branded "embarrassing".

But it wasn't anything to do with the way in which the Gunners celebrated their 1-0 win which ensured the Premier League title race will go down to the final day.

Instead, the video showed the state of the away changing rooms and captured a leak.

Leandro Trossard bagged the only goal of the game to inflict a 19th defeat on United in all competitions.

The Red Devils now find themselves in eighth place in the Premier League and potentially heading into next season without any European football.

But the problems stretch beyond the pitch at United. As the rain - all 41mm of it - began to pour on what had been a sunny day in Manchester, an Old Trafford waterfall appeared as water dropped from the roof onto the stands and flooded the aisles after the final whistle.

Plenty of clips went viral on social media but there was even one filmed by an Arsenal employee.

Away dressing rooms are traditionally not on par with the home team's facilities but the conditions seen were quite something as rain came through the ceiling.

Arsenal attire could be seen in the mirror from the video, which is only six seconds but was enough time to pile further misery on United

One wrote: "The away dressing room at Old Trafford. It's becoming an embarrassment now."

Another slammed: "Absolute laughing stock."

A third person fumed: "Completely unacceptable. No wonder we are a laughing stock. Also we are already an embarrassment."

Another user asked: "Is there anything working correctly at this club?"

A fifth said: "Thanks Arsenal staff for exposing this. Everyone needs to see it."

On Sunday Sir Jim Ratcliffe met with Labour leader and Arsenal fan Sir Keir Starmer, a guest of Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham, to discuss plans for a new stadium.

The INEOS chief wants to build the 'Wembley of the North' and has put together a taskforce, headed up by Lord Coe, for the project.

In emails leaked online, Ratcliffe branded some facilities at United a "disgrace" as he called for the standards to be improved.

He wrote: “I had a good tour around some of the facilities. I am afraid I was struck in many places by a high degree of untidiness. In particular, the IT department, which frankly was a disgrace, and the dressing rooms of the U18 and U21 were not much better.”
