LOUISVILLE, Ind. – For the fourth time in her career, Washburn Ichabod senior pitcher/utility player Jaycee Ginter has been named an all-region selection as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its all-region teams this afternoon before the start of NCAA postseason play. Last week, Ginter earned first-team all-MIAA honors as a pitcher/utility player.
 
This season Ginter enters the postseason with a team-high .394 batting average collecting a team-high 56 hits, with five home runs, 27 walks and 38 RBI adding a .592 slugging percentage, and .506 batting average for an OPS of 1.098. She is fifth in the MIAA in batting average, second in on-base percentage, fifth in OPS, 10th in RBI, and eighth in walks. As a pitcher this season, she enters the NCAA Tournament with a 17-7 overall record with a 2.10 earned run average in 21 starts striking out 158 holding opponents to a .218 batting average. She is 10th in the MIAA in earned run average, ninth in opposing batting average, second in strikeouts, and sixth in wins. Ginter was also a second-team selection by the NFCA and the D2CCA as a junior after earning first-team NFCA all-region and a first-team D2CCA all-region honors as a sophomore following a second-team D2CCA all-region selection pick as a freshman.
