Dear Dota 2 Community and Valve Corporation,
I come to you today with a heavy heart, seeking justice and understanding for my 13-year-old brother who has been unjustly banned from Dota 2.
Since he was a child, my brother has been captivated by Dota 2, watching me play and growing to love the game. As a gift, I created a Dota 2 account for him, and it quickly became his passion. He predominantly enjoys playing turbo games and rarely participates in normal matches, let alone ranked games.
Recently, he approached me with immense stress, revealing that he had been banned from matchmaking. To our shock, Steam Support cited smurfing as the reason for his ban. This bewildering accusation has left us utterly confused and frustrated.
I want to emphasize that I, his older sibling, have never played on his account, His account primarily reflects his own efforts and dedication to the game.
Attempting to appeal this decision through Steam Support has proven futile. Despite providing detailed explanations and pleading for understanding, we received only generic responses that offered no clarity or resolution.
I am turning to the Dota 2 community for support and guidance. How can a 13-year-old, who has grown up with the game and has no history of malicious behavior, be punished in such a manner? It defies all logic and fairness.
To Gabe Newell, if by some chance you come across this post, I implore you to intervene and rectify this injustice. My brother's love for Dota 2 is genuine, and it pains me to see him unfairly penalized in this way.

You did just admit to playing "1 or 2 games on his account" so it's not looking good for you.
Some things you say are weird. "I created a Dota2 account for him as a gift." Ok? Accounts are free, how is this a gift? "Since he was a child he's loved playing Dota2." He's 13 and still a child? "His account primarily reflects his own efforts." Uh, 'primarily' is an interesting word to use here, anything other than 'exclusively' implies smurfing.
He's 13 and supposedly only playing turbo, assuming there aren't a ton of cosmetics on the account, what's the harm in just making a new account? One where you never, ever play on it.

Your brother's account was flagged for smurfing. Valve bans are usually quite accurate, although false positives can happen.
Edit: you even admitted to using his account for some games. So there was smurfing happening. Lesson learned i guess

Smurfing is smurfing. Even turbo finds people near your rank, so if you are playing turbo on his account and your mmr is not close to your brother's, then it is considered smurfing. People often misunderstand the meaning of smurfing too. If your main is Archon and you play on a Divine account, that is smurfing, vice versa.

Probably flagged the Smurf system because it's likely he uses the same keybinds/item keys/etc that you do. The fact you've played a game or two on the account probably nullifies any chance he'd have to get it back. Make him another account, don't play on it.

i think they didnt trace his account back to me and with 13000 played time i would mald af if my main account get ban for such stupid reason and value can spend at least 10 min and watch the diffrent play style of 2 diffrent account
The track they've taken recently is to ban what seems like the alt and expect people to take the warning.
