The man is at least 80 TIMES RICHER than her: Meet the ‘poorest’ member of the royal family

She wears diamonds, priceless tiaras, the finest shoes and clothing, but…

The British royal family is among the most recognized in the world and is also one of the wealthiest. Their finances come from several sources. The government financially supports the monarch and some family members through the Sovereign Grant, which covers official expenses, including the upkeep of royal residences, travel, state visits, public engagements, and hosting at official events.

Additional revenue comes from the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall, property funds, and private investments.

In 2011, Forbes estimated Queen Elizabeth II’s assets to be around $500 million, and a 2015 analysis by Bloomberg put it at $425 million.

Information about the royal family’s wealth varies, but after the queen’s death in 2022, Marie Claire compiled a list estimating the net worth of each individual member of the Firm, the inner circle of the royal family.

According to Wealth-X, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth’s husband, had a net worth of $30 million before his death, while the current King Charles is estimated to have around $400 million.

Princes William and Harry are each reported to have $25-40 million, and a report from Time states that the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is worth approximately $10 million.

The ‘Poorest’ Member of the Royal Family

After Queen Elizabeth’s death, Marie Claire reported that the wealth of Camilla, now Queen Consort and wife of King Charles III, was around $5 million in September 2022.

Before marrying officer Andrew Parker-Bowles in 1973, Camilla worked as a secretary at several companies in London’s West End, followed by a position as a receptionist at the interior decoration company Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler.

It is unlikely that she could have earned millions from these positions. Marie Claire reported that her wealth grew through various ventures, including property ownership and income from the Duchy of Cornwall.

Camilla is known to own a beautiful country house, which she purchased for £850,000 after her divorce from Parker-Bowles. Her parents, Major Bruce Shand and mother Rosalind Cubitt, came from aristocratic families. The Cubitts left Camilla an inheritance of around £500,000.
