BALLSTON SPA - In a runoff necessitated because of a tied vote in May, Ballston Spa voters elected Wayne Evans Jr. to the Board of Education on Tuesday, according to preliminary results from the school district.
Evans polled 246 votes to Susan Moore's 153 votes. The two had tied on write-in ballots received during the annual district budget and school board vote. The winner will serve a three-year term starting in July.
During the May election Jason Fernau was re-elected to a three-year term and Timothy Turbiak was newly elected to a three-year term.
