SARATOGA SPRINGS — As a Black student at Saratoga Springs High School, Tiarah Swann said she was a target of racism. She recalled one incident in which another student, whom she described as a family friend, told Swann she would be the next Emmett Till, made comments about Swann's father’s genitals, and told her “Black women don’t matter.”
And that's just one hurtful episode from her career in the city's school system.
